Hope all ended up where they wanted! People talk crap about these threads and other than the crazy glp1 guy and a few other trolls yall have been the real ones and most everything that has happened HAS been on here. I’ve appreciated it. I think Lilly handled this horribly though and ironic enough the pulse survey came out. The mental anguish, stress was so terrible. I hope if you were displaced there is a job for you. FYI - Axsome Therapeutics is expanding. Several jobs posted. I think if any of you know of any other hiring please post for those that are looking! Pay it forward with info!

Lilly did handle this horribly. Agree. I was placed but have a new manager. I am wondering what the tweaking of pay scales is gonna look like.

What has Lilly done recently that would lead anyone to believe this would be handled in other way besides the absolute soul-crushing, dumpster fire, cluster fuck it was?

I think if you’re young and drinking the respect for people kool aid you were hoping for more of a better approach. Now after all of this I hope people see how anyone is replaceable.

I think the people especially the young ones drinking that kool aid and the respect for people mantra know now they are replaceable. Going forward external specialty jobs pay 30-50K more than what you’re making. So use Lilly like they’ve used you since launch and get the experience and bounce. Always know your worth!!! They need to increase the CMH pay scales to keep talent!! Nobody coming externally would take a specialty job for what they pay and if they pay someone externally per industry and don’t take care of their people will show you respect for people!

Absolutely bullshit when they new outcome 8 months ago they let us all spiral so bad for people and business just shameful
I hope all of us have reached a new level of petty. Drive around and fill up with the most expensive gas you can. it just makes me a little more happy for this past month of stress.

What on earth has lilly done to make anyone think they give a shit about retaining "talent"?

The only people who stay here are the people who can't go anywhere else. Getting my 2 years and so long suckers.

That's what I said, yet I'm here 5ish years now. Got my pension, and now Currently interviewing for other companies. This place sucks!!!

Dave Ricks just posted that mental health of employees was key ??? On linked In WOW? Are they really that out of touch up in the tower? What they just did to us was extremely Abusive!

All pharma sucks. Nowhere is stable and this industry will continue to change. Leave. It won’t matter where you go. Every company will be the same shit served up differently.

Look at people who invested their career at Pfizer. In 1997 PFE stock was $37.00 per share. Lipitor was the highest selling drug on the Planet for years and years. Now after COVID vaccine their stock today is $28.00. Executives are desperate to market next “Greatest Miracle” product just to salvage their retirements. Pfizer is the best this industry has to offer for employees. Things don’t get better than Pfizer. Stock went from $37.00 to $28.00 with no stock splitting in nearly 30 years. This industry is desperate to find recent naive graduates to keep thing running. Many pharma companies do not even require college degrees anymore.

Being a representative at Pfizer was a nightmare. Managers were micromanaging military drill sargents. Everyone had a partner and everyone was expected to be selling in the field from 8:00am to 5:00pm five days a week with their partner. Sales meetings would start at 7:00am with roll playing. Management would discourage family time and said “Pfizer is your family now.”

At Pfizer evenings were dinner programs. Weekends were for expense reports, Sample compliance, and learning new marketing message, research reprints and detail pieces. Manager field visits were also fun as well!!

That is not true, I promise you. This place is toxic and dysfunctional. Other companies do not treat their employees like this.

no. You could go work for Civic Rx. They are working on affordable insulin. Surely not the only ones with an ethical mindset.

Look within, grasshoppa.

I've seen enough. The blatant, "I don't give a fuck about the patient or anything other than money" attitude a study like that screams is shocking! I can't believe anybody would put their name on that study. I saw all the names and companies associated with it. These companies wanting unethical shit studies biased in their favor is somewhat understandable. The people working at these companies are shit, but the researchers and universities?! Everything needs to fail and someone needs to press the reset button. Truthfully, it's criminal. To conduct a study and draw those conclusions from the results is also a blatant "fuck you" to the entire scientific process.

I have to be done with cafepharma. I wish I could say that I had a "good" time. It's sad. Users be aware and beware. At the very least, you are not smart enough to trick me is the point I've been able to make.

To the above poster, not all of pharma is toxic. Lilly is toxic. They are unique in their approach to many things. Promotions, presidents council etc. until you work elsewhere you realize how toxic Lilly is.
