Same Crap, Different Day

Yeah, right . . . And you turn your head away from the likes of libsluvs and other assorted twinks on the 'right' who do nothing but hurl insults. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen and quit your bitchin', boy.

For the record, I did not single anyone out nor eliminate anyone until certain specific people assumed that I was referring to them. You simply assumed I meant you.

No, it is NOT true. The majority shareholder is Rupert Murdoch. It has been reported ad nauseam that bin Talal owns 7% of News Corp, and that Rupert Murdoch personally owns 9%. Additionally, members of the Murdoch family combined own more shares than their father. Bin Talal owns a significant percentage of stock, but he is NOT in control, nor is he even the majority stockholder.

Even the far-left media agrees:

"Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns a 7 percent stake in News Corp — the parent company of Fox News — making him the largest shareholder outside the family of News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch."

Incidently, I didn't see any citations from you supporting your position.

RAB busted for yet another one of his lies! Are we up to a trillion yet?

RAB busted for yet another one of his lies! Are we up to a trillion yet?

You better take that issue up with Joe Farrah, proprietor for WND:

Last weekend, at the right-wing Constitutional Coalition’s annual conference in St. Louis, Joseph Farah, publisher of the far right WorldNetDaily, blasted Fox News for its relationship with Alwaleed. Farah noted correctly that Alwaleed had boasted in the past about forcing Fox News to change its content relating to its coverage of riots in Paris, and warned that such foreign ownership of American media is “really dangerous.” ThinkProgress was at the speech and observed attendees of the conference murmuring and shaking their heads in disapproval:

FARAH: There’s a flaw, a real compromise in Fox that you need to understand. And if you care about national security, you especially need to be attentive to it. And that is that Fox News parent company is News Corp has a significant ownership by a Saudi prince that many of you will be familiar with because right after 9/11 this prince very famously offered Rudolph Giuliani a big multi-million dollar check to rebuild and Giuliani told him to stick the check where the sun don’t shine because this guy was basically blaming America for what happened on 9/11. Well this guy owns a very significant percentage of the News Corp and has let the world know that he can get things taken off Fox News when he finds them objectionable and has in the past. And I really believe this is really dangerous for America.

Remember, this guys blamed America for the 9/11 attacks and he can control the content on your reliable source for "news", lies, and daily assaults on a thinking man's intelligence.:D

You better take that issue up with Joe Farrah, proprietor for WND:...etc...

Having a "voice" is not the same thing as having control, which is what Annoying Dudette and you were asserting. They might listen to him out of courtesy, but he has no control over content, and he can't hire or fire anybody. The only thing bin Talal can do is threaten to sell his stock.

I shall assume that your lengthy response is your admission that Dudette is wrong. I accept your apology.

Hey, I didn't have to wait long at all for you to tell another lie and prove yourself a fool again.

To be clear, this is what you signed on to by defending Annoying Dude's Sig line. Here it is, the direct quote:

"The Kingdom Foundation, funder of the Ground Zero Mosque is run by Alwaleed bin Talal, largest shareholder in Fox News. Fox News owner Alwaleed bin Talal, who, according to Fox News, has ties to terrorist organizations and the Iranian government, also owns, of course, Fox News and pays the salaries of those who say the man funding the Ground Zero Mosque is a terrorist.

"A very significant percentage" and "largest shareholder in Fox News" are two totally different things. Once again, you've gotten your apples and oranges confused.

As I said, you've been busted as a liar. The more you try to worm out of it, the worse you'll continue to look:D.

Fox is by far the most fair and balanced cable news station, regardless of what influences are at play. End of story! Isn't the journalistic integrity that Fox shows great?:D

Hey, I didn't have to wait long at all for you to tell another lie and prove yourself a fool again...

Here we have the crux of the reason I have been ignoring this website. Too many people on both sides of arguments have such utter contempt for others that they believe they can misquote the statements of others, or take them completely out of context without being called on it.

Hairy Fiddler is quite right. I am supercilious to such people. Unfortunately, there seems to be an amazingly high percentage of such people haunting this board who cause me to have contempt for them.

Calling someone a liar is only supercilious if you're wrong.

I don't actually mind it when one poster calls another one a liar, provided it can be substantiated. In such case as the Annoying Dudette's attempt to twist the facts, or when some nameless poster twists words by a politician to fit some weird racial theory. Such people are beneath contempt and should have the good grace to at least make a minimal effort at being accurate.

It may be true that Talal is able to pick up the phone and call Murdoch whenever he wants. It is also true, however, that Murdoch doesn't have to take those calls if he isn't in the mood. bin Talal can ask Murdoch for anything he wants, but that doesn't mean he'll get it. Murdoch can just sit there and say "uh huh", or "you don't say", while he is getting his knob polished.

Legally, Talal doesn't own enough stock to be able to call any shots at FOX. All he can do is make requests. Whether Murdoch decides to accede to a bin Tala request depends solely on how he feels at the moment. Bin Talal has absolutely no influence on hiring, firing, personnel assignments or news coverage except inside bin Talal's warped head. This in fact, is one of the strengths of FOX news.

At one time bin Talal tried a hostile takeover of FOX, and failed when Murdoch vested ownership of a large amount stock in his children. Perhaps Murdoch only takes the calls to avoid a flareup or another attempted takeover.
Murdoch appears to listen carefully, takes meticulous notes, then flushes the notes down the crapper as soon as bin Talal hangs up.

This is why the Democrats are going to lose in November: They are so arrogant (or supercilious) that they actually think people want a Socialist Nanny state, and that only Democrats are smart enough to make such decisions. The Democratic politicians bought the election in '08 by selling that idea to our children. Now the kids are saying "hey, you bastard, I'm still out of a job and I still can't afford college, I still don't have health insurance, and now you're telling me that my SS money went down the tubes?" Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me.

OK, now prove it.

lmao kma!

Now there's an adult response.
You have proven yourself to be void of future value.

I will admit, however that I could be wrong: Perhaps your psychiatric makeup renders you totally of incapable of an adult response.

In any event, thank you for helping me to prove my point that people such as yourself render this board totally useless as a forum for discussing poltical questions, or as a place for finding rational political discourse.

I have recommended you to my ten-year old granddaughter as an example of how to guarantee her ultimate failure in life.

Your grandaughter crawled out of your gene pool - that should ensure her failure in lfe.

lmao! if u cant beat em, join em huh gramps?

He hogties himelf with every thread like this that he starts. Kinda like a three legged blind dog chasing his tail. In Bursted Bubble's fantasy world, the only posters who ever take the low road are 'libs'. He looks past the conclowns and the insults they hurl on a daily basis. That is why nobody takes Bubble Boy seriously here on CP and he has been tagged a punchline poster in the same category with ILA and 4DVile.
