Sales suck.....

Based on the fact that Dendreon management has and continues to keep shareholders in the dark about sales (apparently in at least some instances for personal gain) can any reps say anything about sales or sales momentum at this point? Is it all just a big Ponzi scheme or is Dendreon finally gaining traction? Is Mitch not talking because he fears criminal charges or is the company finally ready to turn the corner?

According to todays investor call, demand from community practice is growing and will accelerate once physicians gain confidence that they will be reimbursed. If docs are getting paid in 8-30 days and demand in community practices has crossed over hospital based demand, then why the lack of confidence in getting paid?

Ha....what a joke!

Reps are leaving.....DMs are cracking......sales declining. Zytiga is eating DNDN's Lunch!

It is over folks.

It was over before it started. Glad I did not take the job offered late last year. Was told the sky was the limit for the stock . . your drug only gives 2 mo survival but Zytiga givs 4 mo, and at a much more advanced stage . . . what the hell were you folks drinking up there in Seattle? I feel badly for the 500 families that recently joined Dendreon over the past year, believing the "koolaid" stories from the 'management' - now there are 500 families who are out of work at a very tough time with school just starting, etc. And you think 'management' even gives a shit ? ? ? Glsd Mitch 'got his' . . . is he related to Waxsal or what? ?

Of course you work there. I hope you're one of those getting let go! Obviously you don't even know your own product. Stop posting in here and educate yourself on Provenge.

Look the cost per QALY for Provenge is far beyond what is accepted by anyone. $40-50,000 per year gained is generally considered the break point for return on cost for a therapy. How far beyond that is provenge. In addition there is the question of cost density for the MD. Maybe if DNDN provided extended sales terms (like 180 days) and a no quibble guarantee of coverage for qualified patients then Docs would see this as a no loose proposition.

Companies like DNDN should lookm at the world more through the Doctors eyes. In too many cases the profits made by Pharma and biotech companies far exceed what is earned by the care giver. And the caregiver had to go through at least 10 years of training post-university to get there. Do you think DNDN or any of the Pharmas would ever enter a business model shach at that imposed on today's physicians?

I see lightbulbs turning on everyday in the heads of the urologists that I discuss provenge with. For the most part, they are now finally understanding the benefit to their patients and their practice. The q-code helps them see things more clearly. If you hear anything different than this, it is because the true value of this treatment is not being communicated in a way that makes sense to them! If the physicians dont "understand", then the ultimate loser will be the men dying from met PCa sooner than they should.
