Could anyone please tell me? Would you ever take a position as a customer service person with this company and I assume all make different salaries, but can you tell me what a new hire is brought on board at?

OH FOR goodness sakes come off you high and mighty horse. It was a simple question. That apparently your simple mind cannot answer. You continue to put someone down who was only asking a question, no wonder this company cannot grow with your mentality..

Ignore those losers. Message board bullies and disgruntled former employees make it difficult to ask a legitimate question on this board.

If you are flexible and capable of adapting to a changing industry this is not a bad company. Like most National DME's some stores are pleasant to work in and some are a hellish mess. You need to figure that out when you interview.

They use regional wage scales so hourly rate depends not only on your experience and skill set but where you live factors heavily.

Management is rightfully stingy with overtime so try and make your best deal going in. Wage increases are scarce. If you get a bump at an annual review, as a CSR it will typically be 1.5%-2.5%. They do not give 90 day raises. Good luck.

Thank you for an honest and sincere reply.

It would be better pay wise and "benefits" wise if you went for a CDL/HAZMAT/TANKER lic. As a PST you can go shopping and all sorts of good things when you are out delivering. Even with the routing some are still doing it..and don't forget the visits to the stores/hair cuts and etc.

This all comes into play if you have one of those 5% LCM's though...NOT a real one.

Frankly, CSR's are the thankless lot but if you enjoy working with people some of the patients are the best! Good luck

But I have never heard the salary range for the CSR position....I feel the $ 10.00 range that I was told isnt the same across the board.

That is the range. There are a couple of CSR's that have been with the company for over six yrs and they are not making much above 11/hr. This is due in part to a year w/a 5% cut and two years of no raises.

Plus, it is up to their LCM to give the range the other poster spoke about. LCM's that in general should not be in any position to give raises let alone write up a performance review.

When a performance review has been completed it goes up the ladder to someone who has no idea what really goes on in a location and THEY are the ones to decide what level of raise you will be getting.

Salaries on all levels suck. I just quit yesterday and asked to stay on part time. Usually a part time or perdiem rate is higher than a full timer as to the fact they do not have to pay benefits, well Rotechs perdiem or part time rate is lower. How crazy is that? Oh well the home care company up the road is dying to hire me at much higher hourly rate and they get to find out all about Rotechs wrong doings and maybe they'll drop a dime on them. Everyone working for ROTECH go find another job. The grass IS greener on the other side. Don't just sit there and complain about the crap they make you take go look for another job. They're out there and they are better than working for ROTECH.

It seems that it is the disgruntled employees or ex-employees complain. I would like to hear the real story from satisfied employees. Are there any out there besides Butch in PA. What about that notorious ledgewood store? Speak-up.

Not enough that is for sure ha ha

Rotech finds itself in a curious position with under-performing locations. Too many patients they are obligated to serve within reasonable distance, no matter the profitability.
As such, they are considered too big to fail.......and too unprofitable to be acquired.

I guess that's one BIG reason not to permit large companies who contract with the government for services to become liabilities. Time to break them up.
