Sad story in today's news. Tariffs have already cost Ford $1Billion; layoffs are planned. Is a policy valid if it has to be subsidized like our farmers? Will the public also be asked to prop up the entire auto industry in this country? Shouldn't a valid policy stand on its own?

Then Ford should build their cars in America, not Mexico.
The American auto industry needs to understand and accept that their products have been and still are inferior to Japan’s, Germany, and Korea. They’re getting better but still lag behind in quality, looks, technology, and reliability. They deserve whatever happens to them. GM never should have been bailed out. The reward we got as taxpayers was SOS, and trying to bury the Cobalt safety problems that killed and injured many people. They and their cars suck

Here were the cars built in Mexico and sold in America in 2016 - a drop in the bucket.

You missed the point - bailing out farmers is socialism. Bailing out ANY of them is socialism. So with his tariffs, Trump is forcing us into socialism.

Trump is helping manufacturing workers in blue states just as much as he is the farmers in red states.

The fact that you are desperately avoiding the truth that Trump is winning the trade batttles that he has engaged. His tariffs are working.

And the overwhelming majority of evangelical women in TX will be voting for Cruz who holds a 12 point edge in polling over the Beta male who a few muddle headed “evangelical” women are stupid enough to support.
