SA VENTIV CONTRICT ENDED ABRUPTLY. ENDO CONTRACT ENDING FEB.

Obviously there are still thousands in Pharma. as direct employees. BIG $$$ tons of bennies, etc. that contract does not get. Contract is just that ass hole. That is what it means. You dont really belong to anyone. Too bad no one will hire you direct! Even if it is only for 3-5 more years. Just think of all money being made that you will never. 401K, Pension, double to 3x the salary, huge bonus....and MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is a career with Respect. Loser!

Though somewhat accurate you are not all that informed. Salary is based on the contract itself. Some contracts pay more then others and are deployed with specific experience guidlines. Some very little or no experience which pay little and others with very specific experience which pay much more. In cases like that I have seen salaries as high as 65-70k so to say double to tripple the salary in bonus is not accurate. 401K is offered to all employees, pension no. Bonuses can average anywhere from 15k-25K per year again depending on the contact. Pharma does not offer a career to anyone these days regardless of who you work for, big pharma or cso. We are all in the same boat of restructuring, downsizing, patent life and FDA approvals. The real difference between the two is once you are let go from big pharma your are out. With CSO you do and will have the option of future opportuities through other contracts. Why you would call someone a loser for taking a job that pays pretty well? It is simply a reflection of your character and how you feel about yourself.

I would have to agree that contract is a last resort. I dont think anyone would disagree. If there is absolutely no one that will hire you then you have to take it. There is nothing good about it. You make tons less, get laughed at, and have lost all opportunities with a Pharma company. But for those of you working a couple of hours a day for a little dough it's fine. It's like a job at the mall, just something to do and make a little money for the movies.

I wish it would end. My drugs suck, my manager sucks! I get laughed at by all my old coworkers with my old company. They think I am a dick for doing this. It is very embarrassing.

I got fired from my old company and am a cso now. i wish i had my old salary and bonus. I am seeing a therapist because i just cant seem to accept this is the best i can do. any one else feel helpless, useless, worthless, and underpaid? Shit I could make this money working fast food.

I'm a CSO for the Endo contract and am making around 100k this year (bonus included). I am not complaining...my husband has a job as well so this is just extra money. Why is everybody complaining about having a CSO job? I think this is great! My numbers are awesome and my offices don't even know that I work for Ventiv and not Endo. I think most people that are on this contract are pretty happy!

Don’t know whom you've been talking to but I have been on two contracts over the past three years. Averaged mid 90k/year. This with three months off on unemployment, which made for a great summer. I would never go back to BIG pharma. BTW, I get calls every time there is a layoff from reps I've met in the field and/or worked with before. You are uniformed and an idiot to boot. But if it makes you feel better about your worthless existence then good for you.

I forgot to mention I take medication for my delusional thinking.
