The last thing they want to hear is someone telling them about the need for RSV protection in their patients for the next 4 months. They know the vaccine is coming and are going to be livid when they hear it’s the fall. To constantly bug them for 4 months will piss them off without a product they want now. You must be stupid to piss off your #1 customer. As a smart rep who knows how to handle a valuable customer I will have to cover for your ass again to protect myself. The RSV vaccine will be given most often at the retail pharmacy.
Clinics will advocate use and immunize maybe 10-20% of indicated adult population. The AICP will dictate protocol for use.
If and when competition arrives you'll have to split hairs comparing the vaccines, then maybe relationships may come in to play.
More likely contracting will big a key driver.

The primary difference is the VBU reps are order takers and the respiratory reps are actual SALES PEOPLE. Considering the anti-vax sentiment is the country, this launch will require people with selling skills, marketing techniques and business acumen. Step aside vaccine reps!
