Rpms cancelled

How do you know the RPMs are cancelled? Of course, why would a meeting still be held, it would be somber as we all know layoffs are being escalated to occur sooner. There were 2900 GenMed reps left after 12/2/10...how many are really needed now? Diovan and Exelon will be generic about the same time frame w/Reclast to follow soon after.

Talked to dm today. Said we are getting email on announcement confirming the rpms are really going to be cancelled.
 
























I tend to think this is BS like alot of what is posted but we will see.
They would have sent an email out about this and not a registration email that just went out yesterday

Right, they wouldn't send out a registration email within hours of a surprise 180 on the drug that was supposed to be the future of our company- that would imply they were (yet again) string us along! They would never do that!

Three days before a holiday when the majority of the company is on vacation and NOW they send out the registration for RPMs w/ a mandatory 24 hour commitment- that seems totally logical...

remember these morons put significant down payments on hotels & don't want to look like complete tools & lose the money but that's like telling sally fields not to look fat

the notion of breaking bread with these assclowns is repulsive , I for one will be calling in sick if they try to carry out this latest threat
 
























This thread is BS. Think about it- we have already signed hotel contracts, and most folks have booked travel. We are not shutting the doors just because Tekturna wasnt a miracle drug. We have workshops planned for Patch, Reclast, and Exforge, and i wouldnt be surprised if we still have Aliskiren workshops to discuss logistics and next steps. I have been a DM with this organization for 15 years, and I will be the first to step up and say that Tekturna is a dirty, hairy dog that would lick its balls if it could. The brand team has been incompetent from day one. I am just happy that we can stop building the RAAS for Doctors and trying to make some vague argument about treating diabetics with a DRI agent. News flash- doctors don't know about or care about DRI, and they dont want a physiology lesson from a fucking drug rep. They just want a pill that can safely lower blood pressure. Maybe now that we are thinking like customers, we can pull our heads out of our asses and sell what is left in the bag- all while we wait for the corporate grim reaper to put us out of our misery.
We will go to our RPMs in January, and we will all act like we are digging it. That is the Novartis way.

Hey Genius with the 15 year tenure...I'm an FLM as well. Check your friggin e-mail tomorrow and then tell me how smart you are. This is catastrophic. We will not market TEK as a stand alone and every other product we have is at risk. I can appreciate you being optimistic but your tone is bordering on denial and outright stupidity. GM as we know it is dead.
 






EOU here....just got text from my manager a few hours ago. RPM is canceled. Looks like it might be January layoffs. Could this company be any more low rent than it already is? Seriously.

Wonder why they bothered to have that big expensive National Managers Meeting 2 weeks ago if they knew this was going to come down? Couldnt be just to throw everyone off.
Can you really say that SL didn't know or that they just had paid for everything already?
