These were only R&D peeps and Rick pulled the plug. These people were all ready to move in the new Gateway of Pacific Bio facilitiy when it’s done but looks like won’t be happening. I think there’s 30 heads left that weren’t included in WARN. These employees and thier former company are an embarrassment to Abbvie and Rick, through no fault of thier own. NO way does Abbvie/Rick want them here to remind folks of his horrible decision by Rick to buy this unicorn of a company. Pressure from many avenues is occurring and Ricks gonna bail soon...you watch!

AbbVie shareholder joins the growing ranks of critics, calling for an independent chairman

Seth Magaziner, the state treasurer for Rhode Island and fiduciary of the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island Pooled Trust — an AbbVie shareholder — voiced his support for a split between the chairman’s role and the CEO post. That’s for after Gonzalez’s run, when a new chief takes over. An independent Chair, with no business or employment ties to Abbvie, is vital to ensuring that difficult questions are asked of management, when necessary, and to ensure that decisions are made in the best long-term interests of the company and of shareholders, including the members of the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island.

No doubt Gonzalez would prefer to see out his stint at the helm without headaches, but it’s small cost for managing the world’s biggest bestseller.

On who's authority?
Lets first form a working group and discuss this on a monthly basis. We will have an annual symposium in order to capture all of the ideas generated at the monthly working groups. After about 5 years of that, then, maybe, we can decide whether or not this certain individual is worth the time and effort of being fired

Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple and Amazon have way too much power over our economy, our society, our democracy and personal privacy. They ALL need to be broken up. Not fines or empty promises, BREAK THEM UP. Googles manipulation of e-commerce sales hurts Oracle, Yelp and bigger company’s along with millions of small businesses. Censorship against the right is a threat to our democracy, national security and 1st amendment rights. Netflix ALSO needs to be regulated. Obama’s FTC closed a case in 2013 without taking action against Google/ Alphabet. Now the new AG Barr and Justice department along with FTC will be aggressive unlike Obama who ordered FTC to stand down.Obama knew his party needed the benefits of search manipulation favoring left wing BS story’s
