Absurd? You are so wrong it hurts laughing at you. Competitive bidding contracts are at lower than cost now. Every time you take a order for a cpap it is a loser. Its also laughable that companies are chasing after the re supply business which in reality is a rip off. Just go into any home user of cpap on the re supply and you will see millions of unused filters, humidifiers, tubing, masks, etc. The VA contracts are somewhat better but when you have to provide new equipment and have thousands of perfectly good used concentrators with 20,000 plus hours you are reluctant to buy any new ones. The veterans realize the unit has not been properly serviced when it arrives looking outdated and smells of cigarette smoke. They then call the VA which terminates the contract.
