Roommate

Roommate at meeting? How is it possible in today’s world that Lilly makes you room with someone at meetings whether you know them or not? I’m new to Lilly, but not the industry. My previous 2 companies reserved rooms for everyone individually. Seems like they are opening themselves up to serious trouble.

It is a policy for the birds, as in cheap cheap cheap. It’s a good feedback item; truly I bet people would gladly give up a few hundred out of the bonus pool annually to avoid this. It really is penny wise pound foolish.

Totally agree. HR needs to take this one up and quit trying to look busy. Back in the day old white guys refused to room with any “diverse” teammates. Of course this was told to their equally old white mgr who quietly supported their bigotry

wow. roomates. I worked at a small company years ago where we had roommates. It was a nightmare. How sad Lilly is so cheap but a fat lawsuit will show them the folly of their ways. I wonder how many will be launched. Not a bad way to make an exit looking good and getting paid. Also, diabetes reps now know what Lilly thinks of them. Have fun with your bunk mates kiddies.

call hr and tell them it makes you concerned for your safety. They will be obligated to change if enough reps complain.
I guess the complaints aren’t serious enough. Several years ago, after dinner, opened the door to my shared hotel room and found my roommate going through my personal belongings...

incorrect, if you want your own room and there is availability just book it on your own. Put it in the ol' tax file and let your roommate buy you some beverages in thanks!
The last Roomie I had came in drunk, thought they were going into the bathroom, but instead Peed in the corner of the bedroom then proceeded to get into bed naked and snored like a freight train all night. That was my last roommate. And no that was not in college.
