Roche sucks

"Lowest of the low, cant launch, total failure" you really are making me laugh my ass off. Roche is a global company that has been around for 100+ years so they have done something right. Valium, Rocephin, Versed, Pegasys, CellCept, the first co-marketing agreement in the pharma industry (GSK - Zantac), then look at all the acqusitions in the last 15 years.

They are not as "flashy" and hip as good old Genentech but obviously much smarter. They purchased a controlling share, sat back and made millions then bought the rest when the time suited them. Yeah I guess I see your point..... "Total Failure"

That's just asshole gTroll posting again, don't let the piece of shit bug you.

Hey "G-IDIOTS"............got some news for you..........do you really think that you are that valuable to the company? I know you do, but let's be serious. Your entire sales force sells drugs with NO COMPETITORS!!! My God, how hard can that be? That's like being the only company selling heaters in Minnesota. "So Bill, how did you do out there today?" "Oh my gosh Bob, it was so stressful because these people acted like they needed these heaters!" Duh......who isn't going to use Avastin if it can extend their life? What is their other choice...death? Honestly, you could put any moron from the street into any legacy Genentech territory and they would do just fine. Those of you with your "G-attitude" should really be thankful you are selling in a market with no other choice except your drug. You bash Roche, but keep in mind that they have owned a majority for a long time. If you had to do battle everyday with a direct competitor I can promise you would look at things much differently.

RIGHT ON!!!! These Genentech sales people think they are God's gift to the industry and continue to bad mouth Roche. The sad thing is, many of their reps suck selling against no competitor! That's why Genentech can get away with having people take a new job with some acronym every year......IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS IN THE TERRITORY. There is no way the current Genentech model allows for anyone to establish rapport with their docs....because they don't need to! It still seems like it is frowned upon for anyone to actually want to stay in a territory as a career.

Lets cut the crap. So called "GENENTECH" reps have the same issues as everyone else, including no access, and they do the same catering sandwiches, and 10 second sound bites as everyone else. The job is not much different than a PC job. In fact a direct quote from the head of CT&D is that in "ANY REP, can be a a fully productive Oncology, or any other Biotech rep with six months of training". This is a direct quote. By the way, this is the same for ANY rep, which is why you usually get 100% bonus payout for the first 6 months.

Roche specialty reps used to have the same air of superiority, its just that now Genentech "Biotech" reps take it even further. Same access, same sandwiches, same stupid dinner programs, same old crap, same freakin job!

That's my point dumb ass. Regardless of having the same issues, it DOESN'T MATTER because their products sell themselves! They have no competition. They could care less about access, sandwiches, relationships....they don't need them. I can promise you that any sales force out there with a direct competitor has to work their rear end off to grow or even maintain the business. A PC rep who has no access to even give a 10 second sound bite is doomed for failure. A Genentech Oncology rep who has no access to even give a 10 second sound bite probably still makes goal and is why CT&D makes the statement you quoted. You could put any idiot out there and they would do just fine.

Interesting reading here, glad to know there are those that see through the G-crap.
I have not worked for G'tek long enough to get a first hand sense for how they operated in SSF, but all indicators point towards full on crony-ism and out right scam/laziness.
My supes and leads are (1 exception, and not from SSF) some of the biggest/pettiest scammers, liars, cheaters I have had the NON pleasure to work for, upper management doesnt seem to know/care shit about daily goings on, sure fire recipe for failure.
So much hard work down the drain, painfull, ugly place to work.
SSF thinks it is the beauty that all must bow down to, all day long we hear "in South City we do it this way..." 'in South City our processes were better" ...and on and on, totally arrogant, too full of their half wit, dumb luck success to be of any real use.

Here here. The Gtech culture thing was a myth built on an illusion. That is why all the founders and leaders bolted as soon as the payout came. Now you have to answer to bankers. In the meantime the boneheads like Fair and Anderson gutted anyone with knowledge of running a pharma company and have no back office support for it. They also are so full of themselves that they rotate marketing folks like they are college interns. Good luck guys you all deserve each other.

How about Kevin N in marketing. Dude has been a director for like 20 years while everyone else gets promoted. Snaky F, dont trust him for a second. Reason he never got promoted at Roche
