Ride alongs

I have had a few good manager only one did everything well. If your a good rep you take there coaching and there strong points they all have streghts and weaknesses just like us. Some of my managers i will miss others if there car broke down and it was raining I would drive by them in my crappy fusion and laugh. Most I have respected excepted there coaching but i have enjoyed the ride alongs. Now though WHAT IS THE POINT?

How did you graduate 5th grade English?

FLM here. Realizing my days in pharma have come to an end, I have decided to do what I have been resisting for many years now: I have a certain blonde rep, 15 years my junior, who has been throwing me the eyes since I took over the district. I am going to start laying the ground work on the next ride along. June 2nd she is going to get a different kind of ride.

I'm an FLM as well. I fully expect to have to make a 11 unhappy phone calls in April, and it is eating at my heart. I WILL be riding with my reps, helping them to keep their heads up and hopefully helping them to see that they should try to get as much of that Accelerator cash as possible. I will also be taking time to go over thier resumes, talk about interview skills, and share job & recruiter information. This is a difficult and awful situation, whether you are leaving happily or with sadness in your heart. I'll be doing field rides because I genuinely enjoy my team and I will miss them. I know that they will all land on their feet, and likely they will be stronger for the experience. What I can do for them now is let them vent, help them stay the course, and write them FCRs that they can proudly take to their interviews in the coming months.

Your are full of crap. This sounds like lawyer speak from HR.

My manager rode with me Monday and Tuesday and we had 2 great days. I made 9 calls Monday and 11 on Tuesday, several of which were with big targets that agreed to start writing my drugs.

1,499 Novartis representatives displaced in 2011 were not given any notice of displacement until phone call of December 8, 2011. Prior communication from Joe J. stated that there would be "no layoffs", a restructuring.

Novartis has pre-empted the 2012 layoff by notifying the sales force of intentions to displace an additional 2000 employees. The decision and phone calls will be made soon with notification to reps around April 1, 2012.

Novartis gave 2012 displaced reps 4 months notice, prior to formal calls, to look for employment. This consideration was not done for 2011 reps.

Can you say "lawsuit"?

Those of us notified on 12/3/10 (not 12/8/11) had a little thing called the WARN Act, which is federally mandated, before we were actually off payroll in 2/11. On 12/3/10 those that retained their jobs knew they still had a job and those that didn't have a job obviously knew that too. We also knew that what happened on 12/3/10 was coming just like the current situation.

Today you know that people will be notified on 4/2/12 whether or not they have a job. Today, still about 8 weeks before that notification, names are not known and to me, this longer wait, knowing the downsizing is even larger has to be even more agonizing for those of you that are left. The 4 month notice that you cite does not tell you specifically anything other than it is going to be big.

No matter if you feel you were done an injustice because you were in the 12/10 group or because you have to agonize over the upcoming downsizing, your lawsuit idea is frivolous. You just as soon file a lawsuit because you never liked the way Diovan samples were packaged. In either event you would be advised to drop any idea of a lawsuit because it would just be a load of piffle.
