REXULTI EXPOSED FOR THE FRAUD IT IS!

In the September 20-26 2023 issue of The Epoch Times, in an article entitled “Who Regulates the Regulators?”. The article states, “Despite that the drug (brexpiprazole, Rexulti) was found to provide no clinical meaningful benefit in trials and to increase the risk of death significantly, the FDA has fast tracked the drug’s approval. It’s now the first licensed antipsychotic drug for treating anxiety in dementia suffers.”

It goes on to say, “In three pre-approved trials, the death rate for users of the drug was four times higher than that for placebo. In terms of efficacy, the drug brought only a 5.3-point improvement on a 174-point scale. Seventeen points in the minimum improvement deemed to be clinically important. “ the small benefits do not outweigh serious safety concerns,” researcher, Nina Zeldes told the FDA’s advisory committee, according to the British Medical Journal. Like other antipsychotics, this drug can kill patients without providing a meaningful benefit.”

We have been selling, promoting and deceiving doctors for years that this drug was “safe and effective” and all the while it’s actually dangerous! A DEATH RATE 4 TIMES HIGHER THAN PLACEBO!!! Do you really want to continue to sell this piece of crap as if it actually was helping people?? If an office ASKS for samples they will get it, but I will no longer actively sell this drug in any office anymore.

This article says it all. A basically useless drug that’s 4x as deadly as placebo. This is why the corrupt FDA should require new drugs to prove they are better than the existing drugs in the same category in direct comparative trials.

Thank you! Someone with a conscience here. I thought that did not exist at Otsuka.

May be make copies of the article and show to your doctors, or leave behind. I am sure the FDA won't mind...

Otsuka knew all of this long ago. As long as the money is coming in, Otsuka does not care, trust me. All these employees have mortgages, a family and a dog. They all need to be fed and need new toothbrushes every 4 months...therefore: NOTHING WILL CHANGE, AND THIS POST OF YOURS, NO MATTER HOW TRUE, WILL BE IGNORED BY THE HOMEOFFICE.

First, let me say I am no angel by any sense of the word. But having said that, how in the hell can anyone with a conscience continue to market this hoax!!!! I mean where do you draw the line? Do we agree to check our ethics when promoting something we know has little to no benefit? Or do we just shrug our shoulders and say “screw it, I will do what I have to in order to survive. Ethics be damned ! JUST SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Correct. It's called the "Otsuka Way". And all the managers and directors reading your post remain silent....because they know it's true...
Let's be honest: Rexulti can't do what Abilify can do. Abilify is better, has more indications and is cheaper. One month supply for $35 bucks. No copay card nonsense, nothing. What do we need co-pay cards for anyways? Why not lower the price? Why create more useless paper that will end up in the trash? It's all smoke and mirrors. And OTSUKA HOPES NOBODY DARES ASKING TOO MANY INCONVENIENT QUESTIONS...
But you are correct: It is a scandal...even bigger is the scandal of the hundreds of Otsuka clones that play along with it, and see nothing wrong with it, or prefer to stay in the dark.
Seems to me you and I are the exceptions.

I think everyone that pushes this drug realizes it’s not in the best interest of the patient. It’s all about profits! This industry is truly corrupt. Just read where GSK was on the verge of a TB vaccine but stopped to put all the effort behind Shingrix the shingles vaccine cause it was way, way more profitable to get that drug out, so millions have likely died from TB in 3rd world countries waiting on the TB vaccine to be approved!

Patients be damned! Convince docs that Rexulti is better than Abilify, and watch the money roll in!

Notice the deafening silence here ... just you and I making noise ... And the corruption is defended by lobbyists in Washington that want to make sure this show goes on, because they profit as well.

The person stealing from their employer is preaching the principles of morality

My employer does not seem to care, as long as he can continue to pilferage patients and gauge the healthcare system in my territory.

More people need to do what I do. The American middle class is falling behind, due to no fault of their own. Act accordingly, especially against those that contribute to the problem, unless of course, you see nothing wrong with what Otsuka does. In that case, you may wish to open your eyes or THINK!

And btw, being non productive all day "checking samples" and giving one-liners when you are supposed to give full presentations or have meaningful interactions is "stealing" too!
You just gave the theft more legitimacy by driving to an office in an office or sitting in a waiting room, because you feel guilty not to.

So....what was your point, or did you just want to practice typing for your next job???

Since when is stealing from a thief immoral?
It’s not immoral for you because there's no honor among thieves. The drug dealer robbing the other drug dealer will still face prison.

Otsuka is operating within a framework provided by numerous agencies. If you have proof of theft or fraud, pass it on to the OIG. You don’t, so you spew your nonsense on this site. However, you could be sued and charged with a crime if your fantastical claims of using your company vehicle to conduct business outside of your Otsuka role are true.

Good one, an intelligent, well written response. Thank you, I really appreciate your comment.

1.) Whether you charge over $800 for cough syrup or over $1400 for a drug that is makes people fat, raises their blood sugar, can cause Akathisia while making patients feel SLIGHTLY better is, in my eyes, gauging the patient and the healthcare system of America. Mental health patients are extremely challenged, financially, emotionally and discriminated against. There is nothing nonsensical about this. And OIG does not care.
You are correct, there is no honor among thieves. But tell that to the individuals who conduct this highway robbery going on in America. THEREFORE, I STAND BY WHAT I SAID!!

2.) Even if Otsuka catches me, they would never charge me with a "crime", because I am small potatoes for them. Not even worth going to court for. They would fire me and give me a gag order, or do you seriously think they would want publicly to be known that a drug rep fooled them for YEARS, and will continue to do so???

3.) Given your intelligent and succinct response, I am assuming you are either a RD, DM, or HO official, perhaps it is time for you to read and respond to the OP's comment regarding Rexulti, rather than focusing on a rep using his company car for Uber and Lyft!

Now, please excuse me, I have a chance of taking someone to the airport.

This person trying to stir up shit put the same post on Lundbeck's board. There is also data that Vraylar basically no better than placebo for MDD yet they're also making money hand over fist.

Nonsense. The fact that more than one person knows that Vraylar and Latuda are better drugs didn’t enter your juvenile mind, didn’t it ?? And just because you have heard of “data” that Vraylar is no better than placebo, is no reason that “they” make money “hand over fist”.

Yes, we are all cheating one way or another and we do so because we get paid to do so! Corruption is everywhere! Anyone with 2 brain cells knows that Rex is not as good as Abilify, and was developed to offset Abilify sales when it went generic. Yes we lie and fool stupid doctors every day and con them into using Rex! It’s what we do! The OP’s article from the Epoch Times puts it all in black and white for you, and the HO could give a damn because it rakes in the money. Remember, it’s ALWAYS about the money and nothing else!

You are correct. Amazing that the entire salesforce except 3 people sees absolutely nothing wrong with it.
