Researching Strativa

I am not the original poster but I would like to get some info on this company.

Who is the DM in the Dallas area for Strativa? Has someone worked with he or she? Is the DM hands on and concerned about their reps career growth etc.?

Looks like Strativa has a drugs in phase III...are the reps feeling some security about the future of the company and their place in it?

How are the health benefits?

What is base salary range for most reps?

Thanks in advance

I came over from big pharma. Pay is comparable, territories are huge. On the plus side, there is MUCH LESS administrative work than at larger companies. Health insurance is ok; much better at the old company. Management much more laid back at Strativa. Basically, you will be treated like an adult at Strativa.

It depends on who your manager is. Some of the newer ones are too hands on because they're trying to prove something. Dallas area mgr. is pretty cool.

Can someone provide a base salary range for a rep with 3 years experience?

Probably $60 -65K but stay away if you can. Don't be sold on specialty sales because we are not. We sell off-label in nursing homes. Pipeline is questionable at best. Probably will be acquired in next 3- 6 mos. Not the place to be right now. Too many questions.

Thanks! I appreciate the feed back. Definitely sounds like the retention rate for this place is pretty bad.

Can anyone give me the realistic state of Strativa? I am looking into the company and would appreciate thoughts on it. Please be realistic. Thank you.

Realistic- 1. sales have been flat to declining for 2 years
2. Head of sales and marketing has no idea what she is doing she has never sold a product in her life and cares only about herself
3. They hire and layoff people to cover their own hides. Upper management will never take responsibility for poor sales
4. Bonuses blow and quotas are unrealistic
5. They want to hire 1-2 year reps that do not know any better
6. No more products for at least 2 more years
7. Managed care department is led by a woman that is never held accountable and has no idea what she is doing

Have fun if you want to join this hell hole.

Short and simple, this company sucks and I wish I had never made the decision to come on board. It will suck your soul dry. Nothing is ever enough and just when you think you have things headed in the right direction they will throw some sort of insane list for you to put together or task for you to complete. Who the f*ck cares if you get credit for "all Rx all zip codes" if you are held to the unrealistic expectation of seeing their stupid ass 8-10 decile doctors once a week. If we learned ANYTHING from the cluster f*ck that was last trimester it should have been that the target list is completely useless. This is a paycheck, nothing more, until something better comes along. I don't want to speak for anyone else but I would think that at least 50% of the reps here feel the same way.

If you want to fear for your job daily, feel dirty because you are asked to sell off-label and pretty blatantly, want to disrespect upper management, and be interviewed by the feds then come on down!

Do ya still got the meter maids (electronic sig pads)? How often do ride alongs occur? Monthly, Quarterly, Twice yearly - 1 day or 2 days each?

Do you really think it is only 50%? I would say it is more than you think.

My honest opinion is that the company won't be around much longer than 2011....Megace ES is the only drug worth a crap and that has any type of efficacy data to back it up....the others you have to twist an arm to get someone to write. The board of directors will look at 2011 and scratch their heads wondering why they didn't end this disaster called Strativa earlier....
