Repatha

Just got an offer to sell Repatha and calling on cards on your specialty Red? Team. Base offered was only 140k. Is this typical? Seems extremely low for a true cardiology rep to make this little.

That’s a reasonable base. If you think you can do better then turn it down. But you’d also be turning down a helluva retirement package. Then there is the HF in the pipeline.

140 is high, you are lucky to get it. However, Repatha isn’t selling and layoffs will happen sooner than later.

HF is going to sell worth a crap mainly because Entresto is a great drug and still hasn't met expectations but also Amgen couldn't launch a Coronavirus vaccine if they had the only one.

Isn’t selling? 30% growth year over year with primary prevention on the horizon. Maybe it’s not selling in your territory. But it continues to be a growth driver for the company meeting expectations with ever improving managed care coverage. Barely scratching the surface with getting on order sets in the hospital but momentum is there.

To the OP: if you think you can do better then turn it down. Or you can take the position, go exceed it expectations and get promoted. You’ll be at $155k in no time. But you have to go prove yourself first. More products in the pipeline. You do worse. ALOT worse.
