Think bigger.
Novartis is a hateful place - I would say this whether downsizing or not - but still, think BIGGER. No sense in hanging on here.

Do I agree with the hatefulness? no. But some of it is just the truth, ugly as it is.

That being said......MOVE ON, people.

i left novartis, it is wonderful. now and then i come here and read just to remeber what a bunch of backstabbing, dishonest political idiots you all are.

I disagree with the 80/20 comment. This is the type of communication you expect to see in Big Pharma when you arent going to be cricified for being honest. I was on the flm callnyesterday and it amazed me on how many flms were still in ass kiss mode, kissing up to Goff and the rest telling them what a great job of communicating they were doing and how the field appreciates it. My reps want to know now and I mean now. They want voluntary and retirement packages. They dont want to have to wait to receive a severence. The limbo culture created is emotionally and mentally exhausting. Have some compassion and courtesy Novartis. I agree some posts are too much and I expect that; but, for the most part, people are expressing what that cant in a retaliatory environment.

WTF are you talking about. If you read the post, I said that I am not upper management. This post is about NOT treating each other with disrespect during this time. Like I said- Reorgs bring out the UGLY in people! Nobody's defending Novartis, just those who wish to be treated like human beings. Now go take it out on your wife or a neighbor or something.

The sentiment is nice yet their are peers that didn't treat others with respect before the layoff announcements so now these individuals are worse. All the grandstanding, finger pointing, negative gossip and lies in an attempt to hurt other peoples reputation to promote themselves.
