My father was 55 when he was hired as a construction superintendant on a $100 million dollar hospital being built. He was pulling down like 130.

Then again, my father had 30 years of experience doing construction, knowing the building codes, knowing people in the planning department, knowing which materials to buy, etc.

The people that get hired in their 50s, that I have seen, all have very specific knowledge in certain areas.


If you want to work, you can always find work.

It might not be what you want to do, but it will pay the bills fine.
