Almost 20 years ago JNJ bought out Oxford Medical which at the time did 25% of national sales, when they purchased Depuy. Oxford had used their power and relationships for years over JnJ. Depuy took care of the Docs and Oxford went away. Nothing is a foregone conclusion.
