Recent Sales Training Class







9:37 is right. No vacancies made by promotions. The vast majority of vacancies are made by reps who have seen the writing on the wall for some time now. Average tenure is only 24 months.

Be carefull of management. Most are blindly trying to survive. The DM's and RD's are like a drowning victim that can not swim. You need to be careful how you approach them because they can pull you down in hopes of self preservation.

LOL sour grapes? I actually read this twice to make sure I didn't miss something.

You've got to be LH herself, that recruiter in HR, or just a plain ole fashioned troll.

Either way keep fighting the tides my friend, BELIEVE if you must, but don't hate on people telling the truth.

I can't believe that ANY rep here would consider ANY new job sour grapes. God that was funny.

Consider yourself forgotten and obsolete.
 






Another is RD and HR person were intentionally making goals too high for one or more trainees to meet, setting them up for a pip.
JF had it out for one of her own in that class. TF in HR told her to make the rep's sales goals unattainable, which would lead to PIP and eventually get this rep fired. I believe the rep was from Florida. If I were this person, I would get a lawyer immediately. Another sad commentary on the current leadership in this company, and I'm really disappointed in JF. I always thought she was a nice person with morals.
 






What a horror story! I don't work at Genoptix and I never have but I do follow a number of companies one of which is Genoptix. I have over 20 years of Diagnostic Management experience and one thing I know for sure is that where there is smoke there is fire. There are a number of companies on Cafepharma with similar horror stories about management and the type of work environment that is similar to Genoptix and they are all true. Companies that have a high turn over rate and terrible reputation among their current employee base are usually companies that need to change their management structure. This doesn't seem to be the case at Genoptix where they keep the same poor performing and out of touch management system in place and it becomes a Cancer within the organization. It may not kill the organization but it is like living with Chemo to keep you alive. Why would anyone want to go work at a place like this! The venom in the posts here about the comany speaks volumes about the management so listen up.
 






The post above is so true. Our MGT flunkies are so terrible but they will never be replace because they are too busy placing blame on thier people. Dave K is possibly the worst. He seems to be above board and on your side but when push comes to shove, he will quickly stick the knife in your back. Oh yea, the fat pig up top is no better.
 






Genoptix is a joke. LH and MW have lost all control. I heard the DMs complaining about 2 new jack offs running their conference calls who think micro managing reps with spreadsheets is the solution.
 






From someone who was there...nothing happened. It was unorganized, unhelpful, unprofessional, and generally a waste of time. I did hear that EG threw a senior rep under the bus to cover her ass, don't know if that's true..but it sounds like the Genoptix Way.....blame anyone but yourself for anything that goes wrong and you'll succeed here.
I heard that senior rep went out and found himself a new job and quit last Friday. Nice going EG.

Quite a few? It is all the same people - most of us have worked with most management at all the companies competing in this space. I worked for the place that created this space and they left us reps alone but still managed to kill the company (even without LabCorp's help).

And most of the cool new stuff gets even less reimbursement.......of course most is unproven - but good pay for 5 years or so.

Time to run to a product/service not a commodity reliant on Medicare. Anyone remember when expertise was why docs chose a lab? Now a lot of expertise, same reports, same TAT.

To funny you think sales goals come from management there. They hired an outside vendor to do the work and they change them every 6 months.
