RD National meeting thread!

Its truly sad. I always get something out of these meetings and come out energized. But not with this horrible TPZ marketing campaign and poor sales leadership by Tad. All i could think of was how much money they spent on dumb things that will never move the business forward. Will never move business forward with Tad in charge. I dont know whos running things At Krystexxa but they need to bring them over to TPZ to right the ship. Complete waste of time and money this meeting was.
Oh my God, yes! How much money did they waste on the board game? The backdrops at the Dr village? The swag bags, that weren’t really swag bags. This was by far the single most unmotivating meeting yet.
It just solidifies that Amgen has no clue what they are doing. They are just throwing all of the primary care techniques at the wall and hoping that they stick!

$30B in revenue disagrees with your idiotic conjecture

Talk to any of our sales "leaders" whether they are EDs, recently named AVPs or VPs. Listen carefully. They don't have any ideas. They only know how to repeat Merck sales tactics from 1995-2005. That's all they got.

But be prepared to be upskilled.

Seriously, just enter your damn calls like the POA workbook says. Only the way it says.

Here comes the marketing team quick to try and justify their jobs. The new segmentation is an absolute joke whoever created it. Hoping it was Nagro and they toss it out the window like they did him.
Segmentation was hilarious, it wasn’t created by Amgen. I’ve had this at other companies. This was sold to them by a company that charges out the nose and they bought it… hook, line, and sinker.

They said the same thing about the Venetian, but we weren’t there this year.
No last year was the end of that contract. I was surprised Amgen signed another one in Vegas after saying they don't have meetings in Vegas.

I feel bad for Tepezza. More and more Amgen folks being moved over and they just don't have what it takes to succeed in rare disease. Feel even worse for the legacy Horizon folks that are sticking around and watching it go down in flames.

As Amgen moves in their people, the activity focus will increase exponentially. So will heavy utilization of clap emojis. IC data will be whittled away and the actual IC payouts will be modeled to move everyone to the middle so that calibration can be determined on behaviors and not performance. It's the Amgen way. Sorry.

Give it a rest. As rare diseases go, TED is bush league. If you have to rely on DTC like a freaking GLP-1, You aren’t any different than any other specialty product.

If you could do it- and make $400k a year- you would be doing it. Yet here you are on a message board working at Amgen saying you have the skills.

Horizon was a bad purchase for Amgen. Minimal future growth prospects with a non-existent pipeline and a sales force/marketing team comprised of Abbott rejects. We should just "milk" the Horizon products and cut personnel ASAP. Truth matters.

This.

The personnel are toxic. The products do what they do despite those clowns. The quicker we cut their overpaid and entitled whiners like we did the Celgene babies, the better. Products will be fine.

Cut IC. Cut contracting. Cut expenses and give the cater orderers who remain sloppy leftovers and the assets will pay off.
