I guess you really don't anything...FDA let Amarin promote the Prove-it study. It should baselines Trigs. of less than 250. If you can search the internet you would know this...Dumpster Breath. Plus the FDA meeting in a few days to see it they are going to meet to change the PI.According to the Amarin website, there are only 4 million people in the U.S. who fit the indication for Vascepa, that is having severe hypertriglyceridemia. That is only a little more than 1% of the U.S. population. How much can this drug grow with that patient base, unless it is sold off-label?
One final note docs can/will write what they want. Does not have to FDA approved. Example: they used Beta Blockers for years for anxiety...not indicated. Used PPI's for ulcers...not indicated.....you get the idea....if you know how to read...you will be ok...numnuts!
