Question From An Outsider

According to the Amarin website, there are only 4 million people in the U.S. who fit the indication for Vascepa, that is having severe hypertriglyceridemia. That is only a little more than 1% of the U.S. population. How much can this drug grow with that patient base, unless it is sold off-label?
I guess you really don't anything...FDA let Amarin promote the Prove-it study. It should baselines Trigs. of less than 250. If you can search the internet you would know this...Dumpster Breath. Plus the FDA meeting in a few days to see it they are going to meet to change the PI.
One final note docs can/will write what they want. Does not have to FDA approved. Example: they used Beta Blockers for years for anxiety...not indicated. Used PPI's for ulcers...not indicated.....you get the idea....if you know how to read...you will be ok...numnuts!

"Plus if you have major event on the fish oil...then you have more hospital and doctors charges."

From Vascepa's own package insert: "It is not known if VASCEPA prevents you from having a heart attack or stroke." (Page 9 of 10)

The prove-it trial just prove that it does...dumpster breath. PI will be changed soon, go back to sucking your thumb!

Love how the moron throws out insults. Of course the doc can write whatever they want, but UNTIL the PI changes, you’re committing illegal acts by selling off label and putting the company in jeopardy, you dumbfuck.

That’s where you are wrong. Amarin won a court case allowing them to speak and discuss the trial results prior to indication due to their lifesaving outcomes

Discussing the trial is different than promoting an indication before it is officially changed. The physician needs to put two and two together. To sell off label is simply illegal and wrong and could put the company at risk, let alone the person doing it.

Wow, your smart. I did not realize that idiot...I've only been doing this over 20 years!

Nice potty mouth Dumpster Breath.

I love this company, and I'm doing great. We do have some idiots like you though. I think I will do just fine, and because I work hard and smart.

The PI has not been updated with the new CV Risk Reduction Data, still at the FDA for review.
Company allowed to present data not in PI yet with special permission from the FDA.
BTW the other Omega 3's (RX or sold overcounter) have DHA which in the PI states 40+% increase in LDL. ALL other OM3's have failed their outcomes MULTIPLE TIMES. Just ask the ADA who has added Vascepa to their Standard of Care and stated data can not be applied to other OM3's.

The other problem with this drug is the 33% reduction data is also based on a change in diet, but diet can be subjective. Let's face it. This 'drug' is an expensive supplement, and won't go far. It's a dog.

Really, change in diet. Do you really think the change in diet would have been different in the placebo arm? Where did you get your science degree?

This drug has all the right stuff. It lowers MI's on top of statins. If this drug came out in 2000 with this info you would have stampede to your doc....people who are negative should leave with their Dumpster Breath....that means garbage coming out of mouth and rectum....by the way have a nice day!

okay seriously....you can tell those posts came from the same person who is either management or too new to the industry to realize how much of an insult this job is. Google all of the open territories and job postings. Pretty obvious this job is a placeholder at best.

I don’t sell Vascepa but have over a decade selling in the Cardio space....including Lovaza. Vascepa is a slam dunk winner. Those that are skeptical just don’t know what they are talking about. It’s standard of care changing data.

Yes, Vascepa a winner. Easy to see. I can see a very bright future for this drug. I do wonder why people who said it was low pay, you knew that before signing on the dotted line. Right?

Maybe they were interested in a sales position based on the strength of the data then learned Amarin doesn’t pay well.
