They are not doctor service centers, son, and you may want to check who has an ownership interest at the property in question. Check with compliance and they can explain inducements and the stark laws to you.

Listen Son, no one said anything about inducements. All that was said was that Brian Gluck is taking business, along with you to Sherman Abrams. Obviously from his current employer out of Teterboro NJ.
This is not illegal as far as the law, only a contractual problem with your current employer.

By your own description, it sounds like I am a pretty smart and successful guy. And FYI, opening a PSC for the benefit of Quest patients, next to a doctor who sends work elsewhere is not "abuse", as you say, and is likely a good business decision for all involved. Thankfully, in your hypothetical, it also sounds like there are in fact no inducements, since the theoretical doctor with an interest in the property, refers to Sherman, whoever that is. Just an outside observer, sharing an opinion. Hope this helps
