First-quarter net sales of $1.66 billion increased 3.9% (up 6.8% at constant exchange rate or CER) year over year. The figure beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 3.8%.
Sales in the Knees unit improved 11% year over year at CER to $662.8 million. Hips recorded a 4.5% rise at CER to $451 million. Revenues in the S.E.T. (Sports Medicine, Extremities, Trauma, Craniomaxillofacial and Thoracic) unit increased 1.8% year over year to $416.8 million.
Other revenues rose 11.5% to $132.6 million.
Zimmer Biomet ended the first quarter of 2022 with better-than-expected earnings and revenues. Each of the company’s geographic segments and product divisions recorded year-over-year sales growth at CER. A raised 2022 guidance is indicative of this improving trend to continue for the rest of the year.

Couldn’t listen, but read the transcript. Half his comments seemed to be transcribed as “indescribable”. Not sure what it sounded like, but it sure didn’t read well. Amazing how these dudes can vomit a million words without actually answering a question. Suky continues to be the only adult in the room. And the Bull is the last clown I’d have on the call. the market’s response to earnings appears to be a resounding, “meh”.

I work here (unlike the folks in this exchange) and Im in the field daily (unlike the guys here who got fired for not doing shit). Thought the call was the most bullish ever and if it weren't for these guys (BH and IT) this company would be back to the Dvorak days. Fact.

don’t worry, our whole team having discussions with our surgeons about what direction they want to go, as we have offers from everyone now to convert and make fat guarantees for a while. Zimmer has no clue what’s coming from a lot of long term users at a few big facilities. You can say whatever you want, just know in zimmers history this is the WORST it’s ever been. Hire those arthrex reps once we leave, they will save your territories. GTFO
