It was my understanding we were supposed to be flying out next week for training and I have still heard nothing about getting plane tickets or anything else. Is that still the case or are we going to do some home study first. It would be really nice to see something soon on what we are going to be doing between now and launch.
 






Home Study followed by a week of training in CT followed by 2 wks of nothing followed by launch meeting around the 26th for 3 days. In the field April 2. And, yes, it would be nice to get some communication from the company instead of figuring all this out through cafe pharma. Be nice to hear from a DM! Haven't heard a word from anyone since I got the call with the offer.

If these comments represent the sales force, then it is truly going to be a miserable failure. Life isn't mapped out for you every single day. Can't wait to hear the whining after we find out our target list and how screwed up it is. It will probably be about as messed up as the last contract. I'm gonna kick every whining baby's ass on this contract. Bunch of babies.... oooh, I hope I get my own room! Waaaaaah! I hope I get a good car choice. Bawl baby pussies!!!!!

no kidding, this is normal. lots of moving parts and only a few HR people to handle it. it takes time. This is why contracts fail.....when we get people like this who wanna bitch about everything.
Don't worry about it, your gonna get a nice car, I'm sure there is room mates.... big deal; get your own room and pay for it big baller.
if you open your eyes there are no blockbusters out there that will just hand you 10k quarter bonuses for sitting on your ass and if there were you'd still bitch about that.
Instead I say great.... we get a week at home to do compliance and product training, 1 week away for site.... two weeks back at home with some minimal training then orlando....

If you think that they are going to let anyone sit around lightly in the down time before the launch meeting, you better think again. This is not how Purdue works and Quintiles is always, always rushed.
 












I really don't care about the car, roommate, or call list. Those are always pretty standard good or bad. I would just like an email with dates on what and when we are doing things. That's not crying. I have kids I have to take care of and make arrangements for while I am going to be gone. I don't think more than a weeks notice is to much to ask for. I know HR is over worked and things are crazy gearing up a new contract start, but really it would take 10 minutes to put together an email with our up coming schedule on it.

I don't think they know what to do when Friday rolls around and they are still waiting for college transcripts to arrive...and with the holidays it delayed the mail, etc. The whole GPA thing is ridiculous for anyone more than 10 years out of college.... Well I have my amex card along with a notice that 2,000 is the limit per month. And I can read and reread the Intermezzo PI

This is not an HR thing, your DM should be contacting you to open communication and make sure you are even still planning to start on that day. Your DM already sucks.

Then maybe sales isn't the gig for you. You have got to be a bit flexible when it comes to sales. Things change sometimes with little to no notice. You will be the first of many cry babies when things don't go your way. I've seen your type way too many times. Complain, bitch, and moan. You won't have time to do some bs report that your manager needs at the last minute. You won't have time to get your expense report in on time because you have to meet your friends at starbucks for an hour and pick your kids up from school and all the other excuses that make you not cut out for sales.....but you like the pay. It's like, "Look at me!! I'm the most important person in the world! Why won't my manager hold my hand and tell me everything I should be doing!"

Remember, with Quintiles, it's job first, family last. They don't really give a damn about any of us.... so get over yourself and get the job done.

Wow. What district? This is the Oleptro/Labopharm contract crap all over again. DM's were jumping ship within 3 months.... and not being replaced. Writing is on the wall people. I haven't even gone through training and I'm sending resumes out. Ha! Oh well!! Check please!!
