Purdue contract delayed

Sounds like we will know more after today but I'm not feeling to confident. I heard we could be delayed a week to 10 days but they are meeting at Purdue today and expect to get the contract signed....so as of now there is no contract!

Unbelievabel! Why would they hire a sales force and go through the process of all the background checks, etc before even signing the contract? What's more confusing is that I got an email from someone from Purdue with our training schedule for the week, which had us starting today.

Yes. The loser reps from Purdue are being laid off and replaced with awesome reps from Ashfield. We rule and are going to love it at Purdue. I've heard the culture is awesome and how hard can it be to sell opioids. So happy to be here!

Surprised Purdue rep here.....No one from Purdue HO has made any mention of hiring an additional sales force. (maybe that's why they are having a national web conference next week, Tuesday) Maybe Ashfield will help with the launch of the new product. (hopefully, April 2017) They did that once before, but that 2 year contract was cancelled after 6 months. As upper management found out, the reps that just wanted to collect signatures failed, and only a few reps figured out how to sell. Unless you have sold in the pain market, pray that your assigned product isn't an opioid. As for loser reps. there are reps that are in the top half of the company that were listed as "losers" during end of year reviews, many that have been with the company more than ten years. Culture has changed for the worse. If you get the contract, I hope that you do love it. Best wishes, good luck.

This is the biggest cluster f... I have ever seen. First we were supposed to start last Wednesday. Then find out Tuesday night it's being delayed for a week to 10 days. Then we're told that the Purdue DM's were not told about this contract and we are to have "meet and greet" phone conferences tomorrow with the Purdue DM's and treat it as you would an interview. Home study scheduled to start next Monday. Next they've cancelled the meet and greet phone calls and will keep us updated. What??!!!

If your contract is valid with Purdue, get used to this type of environment. They have idiots running the company and they can not be trusted. I've been at this company for 13 years, and am planning to leave as soon as an opportunity in my area comes along. Pain management is NOT where you want to be. If you think I'm joking, ask ANY physician you've ever called on, see what they tell you!

If you can know any rep who works for Purdue, ask them about the environment, pay, goals, pain market. Do NOT trust a recruiter!
