Agree 100%. Been w/ AZ for +20. Have seen A LOT. Contract is the new norm especially for products that are mediocre in their potential. There are many reps that have been in industry for many years. For poster 15 & 16, if you think you are immune to the challenges pharma faces, you are kidding yourselves. Ego needs to be checked at the door.
 
















You don't get it. If a territory isn't viable, it will be severed. It doesn't matter if you have a second grade vocabulary or graduated from (fill in the blank) State with honors. If it makes money, the powers that be will find a way to keep rep(s) in it on board.

But I wouldn't bet the 7th-grade vocabulary jackass is on someone's short list of favorites...regardless of sales.
 
















So young. So stupid. I just accepted contract position with a major who is quietly replacing corp with contract. 89,500 base. Yes I was shocked too. But they want to get and keep quality. So enjoy your 2.5% raises and enterprise years. Contract is the future until there are blockbusters again dude.

Don't be shocked, some base salaries will go higher than that. Contract is the future.
 












Contract rep and company rep standing at check in window at the same no see/will sign for samples office that every rep hits on Tue. and Thurs between 1-3pm (sure you've got an office like this in your territory.
