Over 100 views and no response? Assholes.
Anyway, nevermind my post. My doctor gave me a ton of samples.
I for one, would love for you to still have coupons available for provigil. I tried Nuvigil and experience bad chest pains. I do not nor have ever had that problem with provigil. The primary problem I do have with it is its cost. I am on disability and the cost of provigil along with my other 9-10 drugs is breaking the bank. And even more after your recent increase in the drug price. Help please for those of us who need it

Try Nuvigil again, as it is much less expensive. Make sure you get the 150mg. If that is too much med for you, cut it in half. Hopefully that will work for you! Also, ask your dr for a "30-day free coupon". He can get one from his rep. Afterwards, he can also give you a "co-pay reduction" card in which you pay the 1st $10. of your co-pay and the next $50. is paid for by Cephalon. Hopefully you will only have to pay $10. total.
Hope this helps and good luck!
nuvigil has never been studied in MS fatigue . It will be no better than provigil to stick with provigil as it works for you and it is MUCH CHEAPER
If something really works for you, your doc can contact the insurance company and fight to get your Rx covered. They truly LOVE doing this for patients....I too used to take Provigil, then Blue Cross declared that they woudl not pay for this med. Then came Nuvigil, which made me uncomfortable most of the day and did not have as much of an impact on my fatigue as Provigil did. However, Blue Cross will not pay for Nuvigil either. So what am I supposed to do? I tried to get a Provigil RX filled and pay out of pocket but it would cost me $547! That is outrageous. So how will they make any money if no one can access the drug????

Leave off the depression and concentrate on daytime sleepiness. You have to have a medical problem that is an indicated use for the product being prescribed before infurance will pay for it. Depression is an OFF LABEL condition and insurance will not reimburse. Unfortunately, since you already have this in your chart, you may not even be able to try get coverage for Nuvigil.I was taking Provigil for almost a year and it helped me so much. It pretty much helped my excessive daytime sleepiness and depression..but of course the insurance co won't pay for it anymore..so I can't take it anymore. My doctor is frustrated and doesn't want to fight for me to take it...yet if I do NOT take it I am going to REGRESS and the insurance company will have to pay for the problems that will come back again. Amazing drug..but I simply can't afford it w/out insurance.
