"Product-related TC"...now what?

"Doctor, Novartis Aliskiren rep here, I know this latest news looks bad, but c'mon, you have to agree that these are the best products for your hypertensive diabetic patients. Let's go over the diabetic flash card especially focusing on the mice data, now lets discuss how DRI works much better because of it's activation earlier in the RAAS cycle...still not sold, okay, the ALTITUDE date did show some slight areas of concern, but since you like me and you know in the past I've also talked to you about Galvus, Zelnorm and Elidel, you cant trust that Novartis has the safest products."

The "mice data" !!!HA hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.............honestly I can't stop laughing.....Hahahahahaha. I wonder how many mice went into renal failure. Poor babies distant cousins of mickey and minnie. Disney corporation could not be reached for comment.

I would like to take a moment to eulogize the diabetic flash card.......okay, I am so damn happy that this shitty ass product is gone. I can't believe the load of b.s. that we had to dish out to our docs over the last few years..."doctor our clinical data will show..." yup, it showed exactly what they thought it would show. This has been a bad day and it has been made worse by having to stand in front of the docs and explain this mess.

After having all day to think about things, I can't help but wonder why they just didn't pull Valturna, and stop promoting as an add on to an ACEI or ARB. Yes, we would have some backtracking to do, however Tekturna on it's own or with non RAAS agents does have benefits. Pulling everything at once makes it seems like Tekturna on it's own is a problem as well, and will never recover. I think they jumped the shark on this one and are being way to cautious.

Well they earned this mess when they hid the jaw necrosis from the FDA with Zelnorm, and the way they handled, Galvus, and Arcapta, and Ilaris, and on and on and on......
Get the picture. They have been sneeky with all the bad stuff from the beginning, and the FDA knows it and would have hammered them on this data with Tekturna. They put the gun to their head, and decided to pull the trigger and commit sideways thinking it would gain some merit with the FDA. Well, I don't think so!!!
