Previcox

You are drinking the Merial kool-aid, aren't you?? Maybe you would like to tell everyone why the Previcox FOI was dated July 21, 2001, and the product was released in the fall of 2005?? Interesting that there wasn't even 12 months between Rimadyl's FOI date and launch. Merial has pathetic timing, and even more questionable judgement launching a COXIB drug into an already crowded NSAID market when the clinical trials were such a disaster. Good luck with all that, guys. You are going to need it. We'll just all wait for the pharmacovigilance to come back. Unfortunately it appears it might make a better euthanasia drug than an anti-inflammatory.

You are kidding right?? You are going to tell me it takes 4 years to launch the drug "POST APPROVAL" in other foreign markets, and to secure your manufacturing? Well, why didn't any other NSAID have those same problems? Tell it like it is. The bean counters at Merial did the math. Will the profit from the drug outweigh the litigation you will be exposed to by launching another potentially devastating COXIB like Deramaxx. Obviously, their math said YES, damn the doggies, get it out there. Nice work. So much for "Do No Harm"

You do know that Previcox is being used by LOTS AND LOTS of equine vets off-label, instead of using expensive Equioxx? I'm not sure if that is going to "F" things up for ya.

It will not F" things up, it will just make more room for unwanted horses. PCox kills horse, owner gets new one PCocks kills horse, owner gets new one. Do you see what I am saying? Should help reduce equine population.
