Andy M in New England Neuro pushed a very good rep out of the company. He was the best rep in the district and area and it is very bad to see how he was treated and pushed out of the company. We are all sad. Lilly does not seem to be a good place for older Reps any more. Very, very sad.
I would bet that Andy was making quite a bit, 50 or older and had been with Lilly for a while. This is what major Pharma is doing now

Let's be completely honest. If you are an older female OR male it doesn't matter! No matter what, you will be discriminated against. They know they have you and know it would be difficult for you to get another job.

It sickens me to look at all the new hires with Lilly. 90% are under 25. Half of my new hire class were African American. If you are in you 30's or early 40's it's time to go. Go get a stable job outside of pharma before it's too late. Once you hit mid to late 40's or early 50's, good luck going up against Ms South Carolina beauty pageant winner that just graduated with her bachelor's degree in education. You will loose 100% of the time.
So true!

Severance pay is hush money so you won’t sue Lilly! Lilly and the whole pharma industry sickens me! Pharma is known for discrimination!
Yes, they make you sign a form that states you won’t come back and file a lawsuit. So essentially they are admitting guilt but arranging things so you can’t do anything about it.

possibly, but they didn’t have to pay us as handsomely as they did. Extremely Generous for old farts that no longer could carry their weight. Be Glad you essentially receiver 24 months to sit on your laurels and do nothing. Thanks Lilly’s you are the best company ever.

Very sad day when the most talented and successful rep in the area is pushed out.

This is a good thing. Time to move the old men and women out. Let’s face it, old timers in rep or leadership roles are lifers. They aren’t right for the new Dave Ricks company. They think our roles are complicated, but we just punch in and out. Make room for the young grads who cost and whine less. Look at all the corporate people they’re shifting the younger female leaders into roles to mold the organization for the future.

I can’t wait to see this company a year from now. Going to be a better place! Make Lilly Great again!
