Pfizer P4 reps

A guy in our district interviewed, heard nothing back except not to close out. Last I heard, he is doing face calls for the EPBU contract waiting to hear what to do. Reminds me of Dances with Wolves, waiting at the post. I close out tomorrow and am so gone.....

Sounds awful...whats the prob. on this contract?

There are no problems, except people don't know what they are getting into.

Look, Publicis is a great company, IF you want to break into a dying industry (not sure why anyone would want to do that), or if you are semi-retired, or if you have run out of unemployement.

The "problem" is that there is no future in contract sales.

Overall, I think this job was good for me, because it has lead me to put my back on the pharmaceutical and medical industry for good. I have had enough of the downsizings, the lack of integrity in the numbers (and my numbers were good, but there still is a lack of data integrity, unlike other sales jobs where the numbers don't lie because you walk out with an order).

Dealing with stiff management and doctors that don't have time to talk and that think they are actually better than you, is no longer my cup of tea.

Bottom line is that the pharmaceutical and medical sales jobs out there are mostly for brown nosers or people that thrive in a poltical corporate culture, it is not for true sales people.

And, yes I am not only describing the pharmaceutical reps, but the medical device reps that also have little integrity and are kissing a lot of ends to be productive.

This is just not a good way to live.

This is so true!!! I found something very rewarding, a different type of sales. I encourage everyone to think outside of the box and start to steer clear of the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Sales Industry. You be much happier!!!

You will be much happier with the satisfaction of a job that rewards you based on your performance. Good Luck!!!

I also interviewed last week and am waiting for an offer. I was told that I would hear something last week, but apparently that was another lie. Is Pfizer running the interviews? I thought I would be working for Publicis but a Pfizer manager was there asking most of the questions. Is this legal?

Thank the Lord for unemployement, because I am going to take my time and find the perfect fit, and that will not be pharmacfuckagayaucial sales or medicfucktahbrownnoseerseutical sales, both silly jobs, for sell outs.

Young people listen up: DON'T SELL IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.

Find a job selling to real people (food sales, etc). You will be rewarded for production with these true sales jobs. And you will not have to pander to pre madonna doctors or gay mangers and strange women in the corporate structure in medicalgsyalesiaan sales.

Pfizer has pfucked the P4 people over once before and they will do it again if given the chance. I can't blame Publics they have to do as the beast commands. It is the evil empire at the blue oval that looks down on others that don't drink their Kool-aide and sell their souls to sniff at the asses above them.

They really did a pfuck job on us.

First, the training was a joke (I was a wave 1). They gave us tests that did not correspond to the material in class or in the pfucked up training materials! what the pfuck!

and they let go of about 30-40 percent of the class. now, these people that were pfired on that wave 1 were truly blessed people, because they didn't have to put up with what came next, and I bet those people (yes, these pfired reps were sharp reps, several were hospital and specialty reps with big pharma and award winners).

Second, when we hit the pfield, they give us these doctor lists with the lowest volume loser doctors in the territory. Now, how the pfuck are we supposed to move market share and build up our worth when we are calling on idiots?

And pfinally, the POA meetings. What a pfucking ptrip these were. Several times, we were asked to leave the room and come back later, after the Pfizer management had their little pow wow with themselves. Now, I am not sure what happened, but lets just say I wouldn't doubt if sharp objects were passed around to get everyone excited. Not really, but there are some stupid people in that company. So many Kool Aid drinkers at Pfizer.

so, that is it. the game is over. good trip. good times.

and by the way...

Pfuck
You
Pfizer

I too started in wave 1 and yes made it through the brutal training which was the first indication of the abuse. I did take this job to move away from big Pharma and know that it is a dying industry I was not desperate and Publicis did seem like a good company and they are.

As for Pfizer I have never felt more degraded and was never treated this poorly in my 15 years in the business. The shit that went on with my Pfizer counterparts and district managers can certainly classify illegal in a court of law. There should have been some kind of class action suit against them and how they were allowed to treat us, needless to say no job is worth feeling this way. Pfizer reps were in total control of where I went and of my list, knowing this they were allowed to assign me no see and dead physicians knowing this and they got away with it, so basically I was being paid to do nothing. I wonder if Pfizer and knows that their own people wrecked this contract.

I told my Pfizer counterparts, and both district managers from Publicis and Pfizer to go fuck themselves.

Congratulations. You can run a search on the word "training" under this site and see older posts. I was Wave 2. At the time, Pfizer was afraid P4 reps were going to replace them. That is not a concern for them anymore. I liked my Pfizer counter-parts and DBM. I am not sure if they will send you to headquarters for a couple weeks like they did us. There is alot of material to read. Take advantage of the time and study hard. You should do fine on the tests. I liked the Pfizer drugs. At training, I was most impressed at the caliber of experienced reps Publicis hired.

we (publicis reps) were stupid to take this job, especially if we still had unemployment benefits.

you are correct, that the publicis reps were sharp, but they were not sharp enough to see that pfucked up pfizer is a terrible company.

my suggestion is for people not to take this unless they have no income (no unemployment benefits lef) and they cannot find another job.

Done both, and they both are terrible.

Don't lie, you know it is about kissing ass in medical device too.
I have done both as well and it is not what you know, it is who you blow in this business. I am disturbed by the dishonesty and sheer lack of morals that I have seen in this business. As far as Pfizer goes, they are by far one of the most unethical companies that I have dealt with (AZ probably ties for first place)
