Pfizer makes record $36Billion w No Reps or DTC

Other companies are already doing this model post covid .
Virtual reps are contracted thru vendor like Publicis & are PT 20-30hrs wk but can reach more doctors PT than live reps do in 2wks.
Any resources needed or samples is an easy check computer box & send.
Any in depth clinical info then FMD request is made.
Any other requests then AM or KAM is requested for follow up.
It works awesome for other companies & decreases costs while increasing profit margins greatly.
Surprise Pfizer has not done this years ago

I just don’t get it. It’s as if they forgot we have to compete in the marketplace. If you think these other companies are gonna follow our “lead” your crazy. They are actually driven and incentivized to win. I don’t think the shareholders who know what’s going on are gonna be ok with this. We are in the business of growing products and markets. I don’t think this new model does either.
Less incentive = less growth
Less growth = less revenue
Less revenue = less qtr results
Less qtr results = missed targets
Missed targets = lower stock $

The windfall form the vaccine was a once in a lifetime gamble. And we gambled with a sure bet… the Fed govt with the panic of a perceived pandemic to approve anything for emergency use and the deep pockets to buy whatever we made at whatever the price.

They well will run dry… and when it does you will need to rely on the company portfolio to make revenue.

The same thing happened during the Lipitor years. It carried the company until it didn’t. Then the Toviaz, Exubra, PVC, neutered Chantix of the basement have to make it up and quick.


This seems to be the trend. Other companies are taking away bonuses. There was an article written that producers will produce even if you reduce the incentives. Companies keep those people and provide a small bump in salary and reduce sales bonuses. They go to MBOs. Big mistake.
 




New normal in pharma with non complex drugs. Double profits w same sales when cut labor (salary, ins, benefits, 401k, cars) literally 200million saved.

Only products needing clinical reps will be Oncology & Rare Disease products..... the rest do not need 150k reps (let alone 2 in a terr 300k per terr) to get 5min with a physicans to only show a Navigator Service non sales marketing slide. (Can do that on zoom w 40k yr CSO rep)

Hate it but if I was CEO, I would do same thing as a CEO ONLY JOB is to drive shareholder stock price or BOD will get someone else.

We definitely don't need to pay people $150K to sell a box that people take a shit in, that's for sure. Let's start there
 












The GI reps are making $100k

My understanding is that’s their starting base for that sliver. Goes up from there and if you lump in the stock options & bonus plan they get I’m not sure where that total lands. They seem to be doing pretty well though. Here starting base for TM is $64k last I checked (but it’s been awhile since I saw the pay grid so could have changed a bit).
 








Regardless 100k or 150k that is way too much for simplistic drugs that do not need any clinical sell. If so then have $200k yr FMDs follow up.

LIVE full time CSO reps make 40-50k
Part Time VIRTUAL reps make 25-30k.

Pfizer has made the decision outside of Oncology & Rare Disease to move all sales forces to a Navigator Non Sales Service Only Model.
Any clinical request is sent to 200k yr FMDs for follow up.
Any resource or CI request is sent to the 175k yr KAMs

BAMB-- 50-60 current reps in all but those 2 specialty divisions are AXED!
 




Why have a bloated Salesforce when “Booster” shots will be required every 6 months and revenue will be in then 100’s of Billions. Lockdown and Mask Mandates are all but guaranteed!
