2021- $36 BILLION vaccine
Next 18 months $100 BILLION
With no rep overhead costs or DTC advertising expenses! This is the way to be PROFITABLE vs spending 150k yr per rep and $10million per DTC slot......
Pfizer has finally figured out through covid how to maximize profit for shareholder value & stock price which is ALL that a CEO is hired to do.
An accidental new model will now be implemented 2022 & beyond.

All of that vaccine $$$ is coming from the fed government and governments around the world. What they give, they can take away. Not to mention the strings attached (selling below market price to keep our IP).
Wake up Pfizer, this is not a real model of success. This is fantasy run amok.

And the stock will hover right around $40 no matter what. Investors know that only acquisitions or accidents drive profit here. Mediocrity is celebrated

I own a few shares. Glad it's up to $40 but that is still way low considering the vaccine sales. I guess Wall Street thinks sales reps can't drive other products. The Pfizer reps from the Procardia and Feldene days really knew how to sell.

Procardia and Feldene were not show stoppers. When Pfizer lined up 11 billion dollar products back in 2003, it was a dominant force. Original Pfizer reps were not the reason for success.

All it took was a pandemic. Of course they are making that money with no reps!

Selfish asshole trying to bump the stock price at the expense of people's livelihoods. You are detestable.

Do your homework dummy. This isn’t capitalism. It’s fascism… maybe crony capitalism at best. When all your sales for a product come from a government entity, it’s not capitalism. And when you are pressured to sell this product to government entities below market value in order to keep your IP (email last week) then it’s extortion.
This is cuckoo land right now

Stock is flat despite the vaccine windfall. Even if Pfizer has $100 billion in sales over next two years stock price will still likely only be marginally higher. Given all the froth and speculation in the market in past year and Pfizer can barely break $40 ? Too big to grow.

Bingo, why significant cuts will be coming…

Just thinking like Albert & the board.
Their only job is to increase stock price!
If you knew anything about Public Traded Companys, CEOs & BODs do not care about our jobs and only care about Stock Price driven sales & profit. That is it- PERIOD.
The #1 expense of an organization is employee payroll & benefits.......
You cut those costs, you increase profits.
Then stock prices.
Sad you dont know simple business 101 from Junior High....
Its just reality & fact.... not marxism or anything else...... $$$$ to shareholders is all that matfers

The stock here has nowhere to go but down. Since 2003 the industry has grown 642% and PFE has declined (in actual realized volume to market). Pharma Biotech market cap has grown by that much and big blue has lost ground. Tells you all you need to know. It's run by idiots and their sycophants who run top talent out of the company. It exists in spite of itself. Glad to see them get spanked on their vaccine patent. It was dirty Chinese money anyway that developed it. BionNtech was founded by 2 state owned companies. They needed a US company both inept and corrupt enough to partner with.

True since 2000 industry has grown almost 700% with most industry employees making millions on company stock match 401k, but Pfizer was almost 50 in 2000 and hasnt done anything, not even close to all time highs that 90% of traded companies have achieved the past 22 yrs.
Again perfect valid point to CUT expenses as revenue boosts are not sustaining profits cuz with Revenue boost, Pfizer always increases expenses w Payroll & DTC---- well this time w Albert seeing & validating first hand that reps have very little impact w some products & divisions during the past 18 months being at home & sales did not drop.
This is why the biggest costs of any organization (payroll) will be gutted where they can.
The vaccine windfall the next few years of $100 Billion will allow this hugh net profit increase w certain cuts.
If you only have 1-2 products--- Gone
If you have product makes less than 150mil-- Gone
If you have product LOEs next 48 months-- Gone
Who needs reps when you proven last 18 months you dont need half of them.

What about I & I and Oncology? They don’t have big products.
We can see the writing on the wall for IM. Seems like only Eliquios reps will be kept but what do you think about Colo contract? Wonder if they’ll keep a couple Team 1 around for that.

My understanding is that they have to meet a set number of calls for Cologuard and one rep can’t do the reach and frequency required so I would think they would keep some from team 1 for coverage, I am speculating of course but it seems plausible.

The easiest thing to do would be to get rid of Team 1 STM’s. Hypothetically they should be your best reps so they may throw everyone in one bucket.
