Pfizer lay-off spell doom for Otsuka

It is going to be bloody. The dynamics in the marketplace have changed and will never "bounce" to where it was. Nephrology offices are still locked down like drums. With no samples, there is no need to see us. Our pipeline looks like a third place wanna be, as AZ rushes to the finish line with patients being dialized more than likely on the label. Thought Jynarque was a slog with no competition, Otsuka knows this one is a dog.

The same can be said for the Neuroscience division! There are way too many people falling over each other getting absolutely nothing done due to facts mentioned prior to your message. No company can operate like this forever. And the reps hate their jobs by now because they feel useless and unneeded while having unrealistic goals!! This industry has become less desirable for years as access became tougher and tougher.

Well said. Lucky for me I'm young enough to lateral into some different industry. I'm done with the lies, phoniness, and desperation. Here's to a big severance my friends!
 






There is an old saying: "All of us want to tell a story a thousand times, but we only want to hear it once".

It's something Otsuka management (and the industry as a whole) never understood, and the reason offices are closed to reps!

"Begging me to come in"... In my 30 years as a rep, I have never seen any office "begging" any drug rep to come in. Are you sure you are not delusional???

I agree! I told one office manager that I couldn’t come in until next week and she began to cry over the phone screaming that the doctor didn’t know how to practice medicine without me! The doctor got on the phone and was crying as well, begging me to come in that day to show him why type of patients to use Rexulti in! WE ARE NEEDED AND LOVED!

For all of you that think your job is so pointless, try going into PCP offices where they actually do need to hear your message and challenge yourself. That’s what Allergan has been doing for years and why they kick our ass. If you think reps and brand recognition don’t matter, Vraylar should be a pretty clear case to prove that wrong.
