Pfizer at Home Office Friday

That would make it the best time for a company to acquire Shire. The severance cost of those not relocating is already on the books, and many of their replacements have not been hired (and not a change of control payout liability yet) Makes it the perfect time to acquire Shire solely for its I.P. without incurring a large payout to employees.

makes sense...there's so many open positions listed in Lexington

agreed. any meeting like this is held in a neutral location that's not not expected to attract a lot of attention. A mid rate hotel in NYC, London etc.

You would think that, and in most industries, this does happen, but in pharma for whatever reason, they hardly ever do it. I've seen it happen. I'm ex-shire, but I like to read what goes on here and keep up with how things have shaken out.

Earlier this year, your jaw would drop with where I was and the competitor CFO I accidentally ran into in my new company's office building late on a thursday. I only knew it was him because the private security team doing sweeps in the building and manning the elevators made me do a couple quick google searches to view only the small handful of companies that could afford that size of a deal right now. Might have been serious talks, might have only been a feeler. whho knows

Another Pfizer wannabe. Gimme a break here.

Pfizer is the hemorrhoid up the ass of pharma! Rather work at Wal-Mart. And yes, I am a former PFE rep, downsized 5 yrs ago, and happier than I could ever be working for such a dysfunctional, unorganized, incompetent company. They ate dead from the neck up.

Pfuck Pfizer.
