My check is miniscule in comparison to the numbers mentioned, but I don't have it yet.
Maybe they did the big checks first? I can see AZ still can't meet their commitments on time, even when they are giving you an early payout to reduce their pension liabilities.
Way to go AZ! No reason to suddenly do things right now!

Agreed 1.15 lump sum for 23 years sound high, unless you were a well paid exec.

Guy and gals thanks for bring this to my attention. Tell me how this works. Is this legacy Zeneca? I barely made rule of 70 but have taken no money. Was "redundant" last year. Any info appreciated.

$7500 for 8 years service? Why would I want to save that for when I'm 65? I might as well take it now and enjoy a decent vacation.

Have a qualified financial planner look at it. There is a reason this is being offered and it most likely benefits AZ.
