Paul, we have 3,450 cuts to sales and admin planned between now and 2016. Please, please, start them now so we can eliminate overlay reps that hide inside several territories with no accountability, DM's with just a handful of reps, account directors that produce nothing, regional managers or whatever you call them now that are beyond useless, and cut the # reps at LEAST 50% or more! We are running into each other out here every day of the week! The redundancy is w/o a doubt the worst in the industry!

Everyone of us knows that cuts are completely necessary and is what is best for business. We are ready Paul!! Are you???
 




































Looks like the cluster f@#k will continue in the field. Apparently, the vast majority of the cuts are in Europe. Looks like it will be business as usual here in the U.S.! My "overlay rep" will still be hiding out in multiple territories with no accountability, driving 130 miles to see 3 no see docs. Doctors complaining more than ever about the # of reps calling on them for the same products. No meaningful routing. DM's that don't even know how to present a product if someone put a gun to their head. Pascal blew it, as predicted here on CP many times.
 




Well, what was the structure in Japan? PH must have been doing something there that made sense, which is why, hopefully, Pascal gave him north America. Did Japan have pods, overlays, bloat etc? I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

I don't see Pascal continuing the overlays. Look at roche/Genentech. Any insights on PH style in japan?
 




Poor overlays. Most people in these positions didn't chose where they would land, yet are treated as scapegoats and third class citizens.

Perhaps it is not so much about their activities, but blame and jealousy in an AZ culture that manifests itself.

In all likelihood as has been done in the past, when people are aligned to be severed, the overlays will be ranked along with everyone else. Those with higher rank will be slotted to a territory and keep their jobs. Reps in territories with lower rank will not be favored over an overlay. In other words, they're in the same pool as you. Your job in a territory is not an entitlement.

You bitch, moan, and whine like a insecure schoolgirl and you're not a team player. You are precisely what AZ needs to get rid of.

PH brought from GSK to help land an Amarin "bolt on" Aquisition. Vascepa CRESTOR combo will extend and expand CRESTOR's dominance of cholesterol and lipid market.
 




Scapegoating overlay's won't work. When it comes time, the leadership will be ranking you as they always do. If the overlay is higher than a territory PSS....tough noogies to that PSS.

Your delusional. I know for an absolute fact the overlay in my territory was at the top of the forced rankings.

YOU are posting as an anonymous person on cafepharma (who is insecure?). You don't have to like your counterpart/ overlays or whatever you call your unfortunate "teammate" but AZ has policies instituted against poor treatment of fellow employees. Stop being so defensive -Talk it out. If your overaly/counterpart isn't doing what they're supposed to be doing then tell them and work WITH them!

Regrettably, they do the same at Medi. Although its 1 rep per territory, managers have discretion over how to allocate the goals in the district. The favored peeps, especially the ones fitting the diversity agenda, get the achievable goals. Very shortly, they rise in rankings and recognized - and promoted - as top performers. Soon enough, into marketing or other home office roles, without having really done anything.
