Millennium had a non-compete clause with employee Dr. Pesce.

Non compete clauses are very difficult to win in California as it is seen as a barrier to the "right to work" and they are not very binding or enforceable.

However Dr. Pesce (the dumbass) USED Milllennium company computer to converse back and forth with Jim Plante/Pathway about being recruited over to Pathway and "what he specifically needed"

They entered into a non-disclosure and not even a summary judgment was reached.

Also Millennium would have to show how this harmed their profits and that is equally different to prove. Sounds like it's a case of Dr. Pesce leaving for what he thinks is greenier pastures at Pathway Genomics.

I am sure they lured him with big promises and huge salary increase. Hope it was worth it considering all the people they cut from Pathway Genomics not to mention the legal fees and possible cash settlement???????
 



I'm surprised there's been no mention here of Dr. TM's move from Pathway to Millennium this week. She gave her two week notice on Monday 9/15, but her notice was declined. Her move will be a big loss for PG and the R&D team. She's been with Pathway from day one - moving up from Sr. Scientist to VP at the time of her departure. Morale is at an unprecedented low. The news came as a big shock and at an especially critical point in the HRBC product development cycle.

wow thxs that is significant news and yes, quite a blow to PG. once people like this depart PG their team will follow her.
"her notice was declined" should we assume here that on 9/15 Dr. TM gave a polite professional notice and PG gave her 1 hour to leave?

Talented individuals can work anywhere. Why would anyone choose to work for Pathway.

I can't believe some of you are still posting here. You were laid off months ago. I get it was brutal, but They obviously realized they made a mistake in hiring an oncology group. S**T happens. And no offense, but if you were expecting stability you should not have gone to work for a startup. There are still plenty of us that are doing great and loving our jobs.

Pathway has been in business since 2008, so not exactly a startup.

One of the the most senior employees at Pathway, Tanya, also someone who loved their job, decided it was time to move on.

Actions speak louder than words.

why shouldn't we expose pathway genomics for what they are?

me thinks you are worried about all the employees leaving and worried about

your reputation and prospective investors. seriously? get a life, there is freedom of speech

and I plan on exercising my right to it and expose everything at pathway.

which isn't "months ago" what are you worried about?

truth perhaps? myself I plan on being on here posting for

the next year or so. however long it takes to close your doors

how is the lawsuit coming? big shortfall on the BRCA True tests?

placing my bets the next wave of layoffs comes around thanksgiving.

Here Here!! I agree completely! You ruined many peoples careers and we have to explain you sorry piece of shit company every time we interview and why we were there for such a brief time frame. We ALL are still very bitter and you will keep hearing from us.

Don't you love the way that idiotic poster tries to dismiss all of us off as some sort of disgruntled ex employees. The sad part about her post and I believe it is KO is that she has no care or concern for messing with our livelihoods. No care or concerns for the employees of Pathway Genomics. We were just nothing to them, nothing at all but inconvenience. Trying to say "get over it" is like saying everyone should forget about the Jewish Holocaust.

But what do you expect from a company, that has had majority of it's good staff jump ship. Hires slutty Keesha and her disgusting backup dancers humping her leg on stage at the "Pathway to the Cure" star studded party.
If that isn't good enough where are the "free" so called tests for poor women?
Then there is the embarrassing lawsuits

Are people paying attention to the daily departures? It is becoming a daily update on who is leaving. The bleeding is increasing and no one can stop this continual decline of madness. About one out of every 5 is announced. Isn't that interesting?

Let's see, over the past couple of weeks, to Sr. Leaders departed. TM and as of today JB.

Just within the past three business days, one regional manager, JG, and two additional sales managers have departed. One from Atlanta, RW, and one from Houston, JM.

On a amazing fact, each and every individual who has resigned, has given her or his two weeks notice. In each case, the offers where accepted, but made effective immediately. I do not know of a single individual who has been able to complete their two weeks notice.

Pretty amazing how this company is ran by JP, KO, and AA. This is the worst nightmare ever!

I cannot believe that there is no criminal investigation taking place. Surly one of the local new organizations would be interested in a real-time modern reality show.
 



I have never worked for a more unprofessional and disappointing company. Not only do they lie to patients, investors, and employees, but they blatantly have admitted to trying to push out the W2 people with the horrible comp plan. They are HOPING that everyone leaves the company. When you find a new job, do not resign. Just leave when you officially start working with your new company, as they will not honor or pay out a two weeks notice. So incredible!

What would the charges for criminal action be?

The only thing I find criminal is the lie about free tests for women that need it.
False advertisement.

Otherwise most of what they do is not illegal but it's definitely unethical
