Overtime Class Action?

You have a comprehension problem. If you L I V E I N I L L I N O I S the courts have ruled in favor of the reps. Duh! Do you know anything about law? Once a case and in this case, two cases, ruled in the other direction it sets a precedent. Meaning, it opens the door for other reps who can prove they have a similar case and probably win.

The point is you took an exempt position which means you don't get overtime. Now if that is not the type of job or position you want then go get one that pays hourly and you can revive overtime. This is not a 9-5 job every day but it also allows it not to be 10-2 job on other days. The true definition of non-exempt means don't ask don't tell. You work overtime on certain days we don't pay you, you don't work a full 8 hours on other days, you don't tell us and frankly we don't care. They are only concerned with you hitting the numbers, which is the bottom line.

Seriously, don't try to make waves on this because it usually results in the company coming up with policies everyone hates.

You push it and they will set up mandatory monitoring in the vehicles (like UPS and FEDEX) as well as having everyone log in at the beginning and end of the day includingg lunch time. Now you will be tracked so that they don't violate overtime laws.

Sit your ass down and shut up or go get a new job.
