"Nestlé Skin Health will have a full range of products for the skin, hair and nail including self-medication drugs, quasi-drugs such as medicated soaps or sunscreens, therapeutic skin care products, nutraceuticals, prescription drugs and medical devices."
I'm not so sure this is a good thing. We may be pushing some Rx, but we also may be like some of those other shitty companies that push quasi-drugs on the docs. And we'll probably be making a stronger push into GPs!
Fully owned by Nestlé is incredible news!!! If you work at Galderma your future is now in very good hands...
I entirely agree. However, I think they will "clean house" thoroughly.
Don't kid yourself, they WILL clean house. For once I think this will impact the area the really needs the cleaning...upper middle management. I mean what does a Director really do? You will see a reduction in sales force as well. I predict a direct shipment of Cetaphil and we will start selling all sorts of shit in these offices.
Hey, at least it's a job! I just hope they don't change our 401k, ect. And I agree, how many guys do you need at the home office making 300,000$+...what do they really DO all day?!?
Glad all of the experts have stated their view. First, Nestle always was a half owner so what will the new Magic be? Also, if you think about it objectively it actually now makes it easier for a sale of all of the assets now that their is only one corporate owner. Nestle owned Alcon at one point as well and sold it. If the price is right and they do not think they can sustain long term growth which this place no longer has the products to do it will not last the next 5 years. So lets not sit back and think it will only affect the bone heads in Fort Worth. Also, Nestle makes consumer goods they have no idea or expertise to develop new drugs for the US market place.

I respect you observations, however, most people posting here have a very positive attitude about Nestle and the new restructuring. This is the only type of attitude that will help to get Galderma back on solid ground.
