Over!

L'Oreal would probably keep Cetaphil and divest the Rx brands they would have no idea nor have they demonstrated the ability to develop Rx products in Derm. Good for them but not good for the US teams that needs the profit of Rx products in the US. It is becoming clearer and clearer that the once great company we have worked and built over the years is probably coming to an end. It will be an Rx generic company with Cetaphil. Arguably, and if you look at it realistically that is exactly what this place is now. Not a sustainable Rx derm company for the long term. Sorry but it is true.

I would agree - this place no longer has the long term ability to consistently deliver growth and profit for Nestle or anybody else. Makes more sense to sell some of the better brands to companies that have longer term outlooks and proper R and D facilities. My guess is that the assets will be sold sometime in 2014. Good time to plan accordingly for your next move.
