Over before it started

go away this is not true

Sadly true ... Look for a delay and fda seeking extension studies to validate safety. Proamatine yanked for this very reason ... Fda will make Chelsea do the work prior and not the blind promise of post marketing studies that Shire never did. Talk to ya in 2+ years when this is back on the docket...

Just to reiterate, we will extend offers contingent upon FDA approval, so no one currently employed will be asked to resign on "good faith" that the product will be approved.

We want to be fair to you (and those that depend on your job). On another note, times like this are the reason why we (and recruiters) ask you about "start up company experience"----those of you who have that know things like this can occur and you're not entirely caught unaware or shaken up.

I hope it all works out......get some sleep!

Your opinion is respected, but please take a look at stock analyst reports from Deutsche Bank, Roth Capital Partners, Wedbush Equity Research, etc. Not one analyst covering the stock dropped their rating on CHTP.

Just heard that as of today, approval for Northera looks highly unlikely. Stock plummeted today and lots of news about FDA concerns, but nothing that points to anything "new" that we have not heard on the last 10 days or so. Anyone know more?

All that came out today was the FDA briefing that Chelsea already released to the press last week...yes, not good news, but not more bad news, just officially from the FDA. It is still up to Chelsea to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of Northera to the FDA advisory board...

Yes, this is a very depressing turn of events. The information itself is not new. But the CEO did not mention that the FDA staff recommended against approval.

All start-ups are exciting and risky...it's all part of the fun. I was very hopeful that I would be working at Chelsea soon....but now I feel quite defeated in that Northera most likely will not be approved this year. The fun is over.

To the poster who is "very excited to start with this company," the interview process started in November. Most of us have been through several interviews by now, including ftf with the hiring manager.

I think it depends on your region. I think there are several locations for the final panel interview, and when depends on where. I have no idea about whether that is still the plan though.
