i commented to a colleague on Monday “I wonder what Flemming is doing today & wonder if we’ll get an email sharing his post-Shire reading list & what songs he is singing as he dances off into the sunset”.
Of course only hours later he obliged with an absolute cracker of an email. It’s only thing he didn’t let us down on during his time in Shire.

I was speaking to some colleagues about the email and we found it interesting that fleming(aka POS) only mentions Rare disease in his email. He mentions the company's 33-year existence but completely forgot what built this company into what it was. Shire WAS and ALWAYS WILL BE known first and foremost as an ADHD/Neuroscience company. That is the true history of the company. Fleming (aka douche bag) overpaying billions of dollars earned by Shire Neuroscience for some good and other failing rare disease companies over the past few years is not Shires history. I hope an avalanche hits his little restaurant in the mountains with him inside as the lone patron as he is enjoying his cheese fondue looking up meaningless quotes... No sober individual could have written that email. Fleming might need an intervention.

So true. Fleming completely misses Shire's real history in his disaster of an email.

ADHD built Shire. Flem has some sort of odd obsession with becoming rare disease/biotech. Unfortunately he and his leadership team bought some, they ran them like big pharma, and lost 85% of anyone who knew anything about the disease states or products.

The legacy will now continue with Takeda.

Funny how he stole something like 10 quotes from other people and artists, much like he stole this company from its employees.

It’s also convenient that he can just jet off to his favorite place in Switzerland while everyone else tries to learn their fate and whether they will still be employed in a month or two.

Lastly, in his comments about patient-centricity, do you think he was referring to the little boy with Huntington’s Disease that he denied treatment to under the compassionate use program? Poor kid even got up from the table at the meeting and tried to hug him.

My only explanation is some lackey in corporate communications wrote this whole thing for him. Now you can add that to the list of things Flem stole.

Unbelievable!
Someone else wrote this for him. He used someone else (once again) to make himself look good. The village in Switzerland he is reffing to isn't what you think it is. He tried using it as a tool to display his own kind of twisted humility...
P.S. So sad to hear about him bragging about his accomplishments in "rare disease" while denying the same treatment to the ones who need it the most.
I see many stories on Change.org that fill my eyes with tears.

Fleming and Kilsby package companies they can sell as one for their own short term personal gain.
They are probably already on to the next. If you think they have any interest in patients, employees or the carnage left behind in their wake, you are very nieve.
