Opening - Women's Healthcare

<

I would only reccommend the Womens Healthcare division if you plan to look for another job soon. Most of the products are either not doing well or about to go generic, with the exception of Mirena...but there are a lot of Mirena representatives. Rumor is that there is another layoff coming soon in Women's healthcare and the last hired is usually the first fired unless your counterparts in the area have a really poor recent evaluation history and poor performance.

I've applied for a position with Bayer in Women's Healthcare. Could anyone provide details on salary, bonus, training, and how the products are doing? Thank You!

Women's Healthcare generates more sales than any other therapeutic area in Bayer Pharma and 2012 Sales will surpass 2011 sales. Salary and bonus would depend on your experience.

Why would you want to sell shit DRSP products that are on a huge downward trend? WHC reps will be dissolved, as of 2013, DRSP products will no longer be available. Something about 3x higher risk of VTE's doesn't sit well with most physicians, and of course no Dr. Wants to have to dictate in their notes they warned their patients of the increased risk of blood clots if they ingest this shit progesterone pill. :)

2 layoffs in 12 months???

Yes, do your homework! Calla couple OB/Gyns and ask them thier feelings on DRSP products, 2 major layoffs in 12 months, hundreds of reps laid off each time , other than mini Mirena no pipeline , more lawsuits and huge settlements daily-What do you think the future is for a franchise with this history?

Sorry for the lack of clarity. When I posted 2 layoffs in 12 months it was truly sarcastic. I am a WHC rep at Bayer, and was amazed that someone posted that it was still a good company.

What do you WHC reps think of the business development reps, i.e. overlay reps? Thoughts?

They will be the first ones laid off next summer in our annual downsizing. Mini mirena will get some new business but mostly steal from Mirena business since it will be less expensive, additional hundreds of millions will be paid out in DRSP settlements, OC sales will fall off a cliff-what MD would write for these products with good conscience and fear of lawsuits with all the lawyer adds on tv-territories are so large how much impact can they really have. WHC will follow the neurology plan, just keep downsizing and don't buy any new products for the business unit, until there are about 125 reps in the nation. How many reps do you need to sell an IUD? Most of the time is spent replacing units and handling reimbursement issues and we just doubled the amount of reimbursement specialists and KAMs. The writing is on the wall. Sad but true, time to look for a organization with a pipeline and a future. Since I have a job I can take my time but I head home early every day to search.

WOW, you actually go out everyday. Most of us just stay home and look for a new company.
