Oncology?

what was wrong with the sales meeting? I think a good year in oncology is on the horizon. Turnover is low, moral good, pipeline strong and the market is a mess right now.

Agree. People commenting probably are not from the division. Meeting was fine and team is happy. Not too exciting to report so better to make problems up.

You have got to be fucking kidding right? Caris stopped it's prostate test due to transport issues, moral IS low, and what pipeline? David Halbert's longterm dream? Not is our lifetime here kiddo.

Maybe they shouldn't have fired so much talent and experience over the last 2 years in favor of promoting half baked tests without real validation or clinical data......you reap what you sow.

I don't know much about the sales side of this company but I did work in one of their labs. They do seem to run the talented lab techs out by either firing them ( esp. when you question mgmt) or by burning them out then they quit. They also keep alot of untalented, uneducated lab personnel at the bench levels and they overpay them. They are paying good money for warm bodies in the labs. The management in the labs is the main problem. As long as they keep the same upper lab management in Irving the problems will continue. The lab side of this company is definately the McDonalds version of the science field. High volume and low quality work by minimally qualified lab techs. They survive by good marketing from upper level people ( just like Micky D's).

First of all HAPPY Laboratory Professionals WEEK.

Secondly, why is it that Caris, Response and all these companies with "0" profit margins, hardly any cash in the bank ETC, are spending over $1,000.00 per hospital lab for lunches or breakfast to try and buy the business? At least two of my clients have told me, I enjoy the free meal, but if they think I am going to base my decisions on lunch....They are way off base.
Secondly on three separate occasions I had either a Lab Manager or Pathologist tells me the representative, never even showed up!! They DID not mention which vendor they were referring too.

What a waste of money and time. If I find out it was one of my reps...Your ASS will be fired!!
