You may make more money at syneos on a contract, don’t come to az it’s moving towards primary care in oncology, you would be better off at BMS or merck to get into oncology. New AZ oncology leadership is terrible.

Better off means more money more bonus and more product discussions. How do the three oncology companies differ?
 




Oncologists do NOT see pharma reps. Don't waste your time in a bogus job.

Relax. oncology is anything but a bogus job. What is bogus are the high call averages in most cases, but you do get an opportunity to make sporadic impact. To the OP i hope you took the job and gain the experience. If you’re a field sales employee, you’re job is to promote and make $$$. oncology or not, that’s the goal. Hooray for those who feel like the $$ is secondary to something else, but at the end of the day we all seek a salary and bonus structure that’s competitive. If you are an internal AZ employee eying a promotion, take the $$$ and experience. in 3 years someone will be offering you a 190-210 salary with sign on and maybe stock. Don’t let your comfort and familiarity with today blind you to tomorrow’s opportunities… Just go out and get it
 
















This sounds like the mantra for our MSL teams. We can’t keep MSLs in our area. They keep changing their role and they leave us for more customer facing opportunities and more $$. What happened to supporting field efforts with HCPS? They used to be a great resource to help HCPS with deeper clinical needs than we can address as PSSs, but AZ changed them from PC to Specialty only, then to decision makers in hospitals. Our competitors utilize their MSLS in offices and to conduct programs, but that resource has evaporated for us. Too bad because our MSLs have been well respected and end up leaving taking their relationships to competitors.
 
















Leadership will most absolutely expand prob to 7 teams. They don’t have a clue about reality. Too many new products in the pipeline they can’t help themselves. Thy will expand until they don’t achieve goals and then pascal will buy another alexion size company to cover up their blunders. The madness of success!
