nothing! its terrible. Got an offer letter and sent in all the required info and drug test and have heard nothing.

I personally do not plan on giving notice until our first day actually gets here just to be safe. It's mostly home study to start with anyway.

No company lets you know if you pass the background check because it's assumed we submitted honest information and didn't have anything to hide. We will be notified if there is a problem or if we did NOT pass.

To answer the OP's question, I did receive my confirmation call today...laptop, iphone, ipad, and car are on order. 12/30 is solid as the start date.

You got you laptop? I have not received anything after I sent in the drug screen and background screen to stirling.
This is the weirdest hiring process I have ever seen. The only call I got was from a ventiv person to offer the job and that was over 2-3 weeks ago.

Apparently, not everyone that got an offer is being brought on immediately...only a select few where MKD wants a current presence.

I talked to a Recruiter today and she said that everything is on hold. The Recruiter also said that it looks good for the product getting approved but it looks more like Feb for the start date. The still have to give offers to people that were in the second wave of Interviews.

Approval was delayed three months on11/25 so it won't be approved now until end of Feb., and that's if all goes well.

Both of you are right. Some inVentiv positions were contingent on Xartemis XR approval because they were "expansion territories" and those positions have been put on hold until the approval of the drug. Other territories were the "standard territories" that the company needed to continue the sales of Pennsaid and Exalgo. The reps for those areas will begin on 12/30.
