Oklahoma City ADHD positions

I talked with a recruiter who said there are 2 ADHD rep positions open in Oklahoma City. I asked if they were expansion territories and he said no. The DM there has 2 out of 3 territories open. I'm hesitant to pursue the job because there must be an underlying story if the DM has 2 out of 3 territories vacant. Can anyone give me the real scoop on the territories and manager? The DM's name is Sam (not sure if it is a male or female). Thanks in advance!

I too was contacted by a recruiter for these positions. Is the DM a terror and that's the reason for the 2 open positions in the same city?? I've heard Shire was a good company to work for, but I'm not trying to get into a job where my DM makes me miserable.

Or no one worth brining on board, ever think of that? There's not any shortage of candidates out there only a shortage of good ones maybe.

you can spin it however you want, but in this economy there is and abundance of good "qualified" candidates. The positions have been open since March, sounds like the hiring manager has some issues that stem from insecurity or lack of "qualified" experience.

It's apparent that SS is fearful of an "experienced" rep who might actually be able to step in and make a difference right away and would rather find "the right fit" with someone with no experience and will take the first 8 months to figure out north , east , south, and west.

I was told the DM has been to OKC 7 times to interview candidates and has yet to move anyone forward in the process. I know 3 people that he has interviewed and they are all experienced and successful salespeople but he did not move them forward in the process. I'm not sure what exactly the DM is looking for but he's passed on some great candidates.

I know the hiring manager Sam....If you have experience and can immediatley make an impact..forget it! ADHD managers are EXTREMELY intimidated by experience. When I interviewed, I started asking basic interview questions of Sam to better understand how he became a manager, what his experience was, managment style etc. He became extremely unconfortable and agitated. The funny thing is...the recruiter told me that I "intimidated" Sam. I "asked too many questions"

You think Sam the OK manager is goofy...try Curtis the Dallas manager! I IV for an opening with both! I launched an ADHD molecule and have 17 years of pharma exp. Both were very uncomfortable when I asked questions about their management philosophy and past experience.

I asked " how would a representative ( who you just placed on performance probation) describe your managment style. They both FROZE!!!!

I agree with the prev posters...if you have any pharm experience forget it! They are looking for Enterprise Rent A Car rejects!
