Nuvectra

Does anyone have any insight into where he will be based? Plano or Broomfield?
I heard Plano. He needs to break up the cult of personality Norbert built in Denver. Not necessarily staffing changes just bring a practical focus and some sensible direction. His top down, one way leadership style has been horroble for the company. They have lost so many great people because of one man its unbelievable.

does the new CTO or head of R&D know what's needed for MRI approvals?

If Nuvectra is the the thing right now, why are we not seeing it in our facilities? Honestly, its just not out there. It can't be very appealing if it is not winning over customers, and thats the real testament to its effectiveness or appeal. Buying reps with guarantees, works for 12 months. Then reality sets in and after the guarantee runs its course, your back to zero customers but now, without any income[/QUOTEI

I had Nuvectra/Algoveta SPC placed about 2 years ago and I have been able to use it about 10 times. It won't charge. Finally just received a new PPC and that really hasn't helped so I am beginning to think it is the implanted battery device. They have sub zero customer service and I don't believe a word they say and I did tell them this.

There is not a problem with the implant. Period. The implant is orders of magnitude more reliable than the PPC and charging paddle.

my dude, this fake news is older than drees's loafers. P130028 S022 was approved on 20SEP2018. "Approval for modifying the design of the Algovita Model 4200 Programmer Charger cable, and the Model 4230 Charging Paddle cable to improve the mechanical reliability (flex reliability) of the cables." Problem has been solved! Just like the holes in the tips of the leads. SOLVED!

Flexible paddles have always been a big problem. They were when ANS sold the old Renew line and continued on when the Eon IPG series had a flexible charging paddle. Not sure why Nuvectra didn't learn the lesson there given the number of ANS people that eventually made there way to that company.

Reading comprehension isn't your strength. All it says is the charging paddle's cable is more tolerant to flex IE being more resistant and having a longer life. It doesn't say the paddle is flexible.

Only the leadership team and folks in Plano at Nuvectra came from ANS. The engineering functions out of Cleveland, Broomfield, and Blaine was free of ANS people. Initial externals design was probably contracted out (which is typical) but doesn't explain why it took so long to get a new cable design. Maybe they are relatively cheap to replace so it wasn't a priority.
